It's almost like they're shouting at you, "pick me, you haven't worn me yet! No me! I'm more beautiful, please!" Don't worry, you're not alone! There's so many polishes but I'm trying one day at a time to get through them.Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05934916550977688111noreply@blogger.comBlogger219125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3804907820532423129.post-56163331733357090372014-11-03T12:38:00.000-08:002014-11-03T12:38:00.985-08:00Darling Diva Ringer

Today I have a stunning polish that I've had for a while but only just used for the first time the other day. It's Darling Diva Ringer, a red to green shifting shimmer in a purple jelly base. It was created as a dupe for the very hard to find Clarins 230. It's described as "unicorn pee" since it's so magical looking. I couldn't agree more. Here it is!

I layered one coat of Ringer over two coats of Sinful Colors Endless Blue which is a gorgeous cobalt blue creme. The combination is truly amazing! Ringer is stunning and breathtaking in every light. I can't stop staring. Formula wise I had no problems whatsoever.

I had such a hard time photographing just how gorgeous this combo is in person. None of the green shimmer wanted to show up. All of my pictures were taken on my iPod Touch 5 since my usual camera freaked out and could not get a decent photo of Ringer. These pictures don't do it any justice. Ringer is definitely one of those polishes you have to see for yourself to understand its beauty.

Ringer is a must have, especially for those of you that are looking for a polish similar to Clarins 230. For me it definitely fills that lemming. Ringer is in the Last Call section on Darling Diva's website so I wouldn't hesitate if you have it on your wish list. Run, don't walk, and grab yourself a bottle!
Happy Halloween! I decided to keep Candy Lacquer Pretty Little Werewolf on longer than I originally intended to. I didn't take it off until yesterday. I had another Halloween polish I wanted to wear before my mani today but because I ran out of time I wasn't able to get to it. Oh well! I'm happy to share the one I have for today. Last year I wore Different Dimension Have The Lambs Stopped Screaming? on Halloween and this year I'm wearing another polish from Different Dimension called Monster Mash which is from their 2014 collection.

Monster Mash is a super pretty orange, black, and grey glitter topper in a clear base with holographic shimmer. There are hexes, circles, triangles, and stars. I absolutely love it! It couldn't be more perfect for Halloween. I layered one coat of Monster Mash over 2 coats of Sinful Colors Cool Gray, which is by far the best gray creme in my collection. Monster Mash is so filled with glitter that there was no need for fishing or digging. I got more than enough glitter with each dip of the brush. I used two coats of Rica Glossy Glam, which I'm running low on. I definitely need to get a new bottle for myself.
I love Monster Mash! It's Halloween in a bottle. I hope you all have a fun and safe holiday! As for me, I'm not dressing up but I'll be spending the night with my niece while she trick or treats.

If you don't already know, purple is my favorite color, for both polish and everything else. The mani I have today has tons of it and it also features my favorite indie brand, Candy Lacquer. I couldn't go without wearing at least one of their Halloween polishes this year. Without further ado here is Candy Lacquer Pretty Little Werewolf.

Pretty Little Werewolf was a limited edition glitter topper that has sadly been discontinued for a while but I was able to find my bottle in a blog sale, which seems to be the case for a good portion of my Candy Lacquers. It's a beautiful mix of white, pink, gray, and purple matte, metallic and holographic glitters in shapes which include hexes, moons, diamonds, and stars. I also really like that there's a few different shades of purple and pink and not just one kind.

For my base I used two coats of OPI A Grap Fit, which is
without a doubt my most favorite purple creme in my collection. It was
absolute perfection and it applied like a dream, just like it did the
first time I used it. Love it! I left my bottle of Pretty Little
Werewolf upside down for a bit before applying. With my first coat, not
as much glitter came out as I was hoping but my second coat did the
trick. I was able to get more than enough glitter out on my nails. I was
especially happy that I got moons, stars, and circles out. Speaking of
which, I love how the two big circles look on my middle finger nail. It
was a happy accident! I used two coats of Rica Glossy Glam for a glassy
smooth surface because some pieces of glitter were poking through.

By the way, the small chip on my middle finger nail was due to me
dinging my nail before I had the chance to top coat it and because of
that a piece of glitter flaked off, taking the base with it.

The picture in the sun was taken with my new iPod Touch 5 that I got over the summer. I just love how how it turned out!
I can't express how much I love Pretty Little Werewolf and this mani! It's girly and perfect for someone like me that loves purple and glitter. I'll be sad when I take it off today.

Hello! So obviously I'm not going to be able to wear every single Halloween polish that I own but so far I've managed to wear a handful of really gorgeous ones. The one I have today is no exception. It's Pick Your Poison from the indie brand Noodles Nail Polish. The only other polish I have from them is Sleepy Hollow which I actually bought last Halloween but still haven't worn yet.

I had to have Pick Your Poison the minute I saw a swatch of it. It's a glitter bomb that has black squares and hexes along with gorgeous holo skull and crossbones, squares, and hexes. I could stare at the holo glitter in this all day! I love sparkle and Pick Your Poison has tons of it! As for the skull glitters, it's not my most favorite shape when it comes to glitter but I have a few polishes with them that I've made an exception for because they were just too pretty to pass up. Pick Your Poison is one of those! Granted, I only got about two of the skulls out on my nail but regardless of that, I don't mind them in this polish. The fact that they're holo makes me like them even more.

Pick Your Poision was such a dream to work with! I layered one coat of
it over three coats of LynBDesigns White Fang. There was no shortage of
glitter and I didn't have to fish either. I did leave my bottle upside
down before applying but that was mostly for the skull glitters.
Speaking of which, some of them were trapped against the sides of the
bottle so I did have to use a tooth pick to break them up but no big
deal there. I was very happy that Pick Your Poison also dried pretty
fast. I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam for a smooth finish.
Here's a bottle shot I took of all of the gorgeous glitter. Pretty huh?

I'm quite in love with Pick Your Poison! It's definitely a new favorite of mine. What's not to love? It's a gorgeous sparkly holo glitter bomb. There's only 3 bottles left in the Noodles Nail Polish shop. I'm not sure if it's going to be restocked so you better act fast if you want it!

Halloween is just around the corner so I'm trying to wear as many Halloween themed polishes as I can. Today I have a beautiful one from the brand, Laquerlicious. It's Witchful Thinking which is apart of their 2014 Halloween collection.

Witchful Thinking, which has the cutest name by the way, is an orange, purple, fuchsia, lavender, and black glitterbomb. It has both holo and metallic glitters. It's very pretty! I saw a gorgeous combo done by punchflavor on Instagram using both Witchful Thinking and Sinful Colors Enchanted, which I had, so I decided to recreate the look for myself.

I used two coats of Enchanted, an amazing dark purple creme that was opaque in two coats. I then did one coat of Witchful Thinking. It's so packed with glitter that there was no need for fishing, digging, and I didn't even have to turn the bottle upside down. The glitter came out no problem and application was a breeze. It dried rather smoothly so I only needed one coat of Rica Glossy Glam to make it completely smooth.

I absolutely love this combo! Witchful Thinking is on the beautiful, girly side but this mani is a bit edgy thanks to the dark purple creme that is Sinful Colors Enchanted. Witchful Thinking is still available in the Laquerlicious shop and I was able to find my bottle of Enchanted at my local Walgreens.

Today I am introducing a new brand to my blog called MDJ Creations. I have acquired a decent amount of their polishes over the past few months and even though this is my first time wearing one, the brand has become one of my favorites! Melissa, the creator behind the brand has a talent for creating gorgeous polishes and on top of that, she's incredibly sweet! About a week ago I wanted to take a small break from Halloween themed polishes and that's where the MDJ Creations fall appropriate glitter Leg Warmers came in.

As described on the MDJ Creations Etsy shop, Leg Warmers "is a mega holographic glittery top coat featuring Red holo dots that
shift to magenta, orange & red, plus holographic silver, copper,
gold, caramel & turquoise hexes & slices & micro glitter in a
clear base." In other words, it's completely gorgeous and so stunning! Holo glitter will forever be my favorite kind of glitter and this one is chock full of them! It's hard not to stare at all of the beautiful glitter in the bottle.

For my base, I used two coats of OPI Skull and Glossbones, a very light, warm toned grey that in my opinion could almost pass of as a nude type shade. I kind of see a touch of beige in it. It was my first time using it and I absolutely loved it! I only used one coat of Leg Warmers and as you can see, it had great glitter coverage. I didn't have to dig or fish for any of the glitter either, which I was extremely happy with. I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam for a smooth finish.

Here's a bottle shot I was able to capture. I edited it a bit to show off the holo but only slightly.

I'm so in love with Leg Warmers! Can you say gorgeous?! I
could not stop staring at it. It really is a perfect glitter for fall
and just about anytime for that matter. I especially loved how it looked
over Skull and Glossbones. It was a striking but soft combination.

I totally recommend MDJ Creations! Leg Warmers is just one of many gorgeous colors to check out. You won't be disappointed by this brand! Be sure to follow their Facebook and Instagram for updates! I myself can't wait to get more of their gorgeous colors on my nails.

I have another beautiful Halloween polish to share with you. It's a recently new one in my collection and it happens to be from one of my favorite indie brands, Hit Polish. Here is Beetlejuice Potion!

Beetlejuice Potion is a glitter topper consisting of black, white, and iridescent glitters, along with green flakies and there's even the prettiest green shimmer. I cannot express how gorgeous this polish is! I love looking at in the bottle but it's just as lovely on the nails too. It's pretty much perfect.

I knew I wanted to layer this over a gray because it looked seriously amazing over each one that I tested it over. It was a hard decision so in the end I decided to use all of them! It's sort of like an ombre but with glitter. I really love the way it turned out! From index to pinky I used one coat of Sinful Colors Cool Gray, two coats of Frankly, I Don't Give A-dam, two coats of China Glaze Recycle, and two coats of Sephora by OPI Break A Leg Warmer. On my thumb I used LynBDesigns White Fang. I topped off each nail with one coat of Beetlejuice Potion. The glitter came out with no problem and applied easily. I used two coats of Rica Glossy Glam for a smooth finish.

I was crazy impressed with how long my mani lasted. I wore it for four days and I only had fading at the tips. Rica Glossy Glam really works! I am running low so I'm going to have to get another bottle soon.

I absolutely love Beetlejuice Potion. It's crazy pretty and I think it would look great on several colors. It's still available for purchase in both Hit Polish stores, along with several other beautiful Halloween themed polishes.
Today I have my most favorite Halloween polish that I have worn so far this year. Laquerlicious Chills & Thrills is not only a Halloween themed polish but it was also created for a great cause. It's another Polish For Pit Bulls collaboration between Michelle of Laquerlicious and The Em-purr-ium. You not only get the beautiful polish but also the cutest fob key chain, made personally by the The Em-purr-ium, and a baggie of extra glitters. All together, it costs $10 plus shipping and $5 from each sale will be donated to the Fresno Bully Rescue which benefits pit bulls. How awesome is that?! As a dog lover myself, I had to get it!

Chills & Thrills is a Halloween glitter bomb that contains all sorts of colors, shapes, and sizes of glitter in a golden shimmery base. The shapes include circles, squares, hexes, diamonds, stars, moons, triangles, and skulls. I just love it! It's absolutely perfect for Halloween and the shimmer, which is on the heavy side, is so amazing. I could stare at this beautiful polish all day!
I layered Chills & Thrills over LynBDesigns White Fang, a white creme. White Fang was streakier than I thought it would be and even at three coats it wasn't totally opaque. Still, it applied easily and dry time wasn't an issue. Chills & Thrills was a pleasure to work with. So much glitter came out with each dip of the brush. What you see is what one coat over White Fang. I topped it off with one coat of Rica Glossy Glam.

I adore how Chills & Thrills looks over white! The colors really pop and it kind of reminds me candy.
I love Chills & Thrills! There's nothing better than having a gorgeous polish that happens to be benefiting a great cause. There's still plenty of bottles left up in the Laquerlicious shop but once sold out it will not be restocked.
Hello! I have yet another Halloween inspired mani today. One of my favorite indie brands, Lumina Lacquer created a few Mickey themed polishes a while back. I wanted them but I never did pull the trigger. Several months down the road I found a bottle of the The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion through a blog sale and this time I was very quick to buy it. I have been wanting to wear it for a while and I finally did about a week ago. Here it is!

The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion is a mix of black, gray, gold, and silver glitters all in a clear base that also has a pretty but subtle gold shimmer. There are hexes, moons, and of course Mickey heads. Some of the glitters are holo, which is my favorite kind. It's a beauty.

I wasn't sure what to wear it over at first but after testing it over China Glaze Recycle, my mind was set. I used two coats of Recycle and just one coat of The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion. I let my bottle sit upside down before applying and it really helped with application. The Mickey glitters didn't come out as much as I hoped they would but I was still pleased. I got one on my pinky nail and middle finger nail, though some of that one got buried by the base. I topped it off with two coats of Rica Glossy Glam.

I am so in love with The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion! It's gorgeous but the fact that it's Mickey/Disney inspired makes me love it that much more. Sadly this one is no longer available from Lumina Lacquer but it's definitely worth grabbing if you come across a bottle.

Hello! A few weeks ago I went ahead and put aside all of the Halloween polishes that I own. I have way more than I realized. So far I've worn a couple during this month and the first one up is one that I bought from a blog sale several months ago. I should point out that it's no longer available from the brand. Sorry! Here is Trelly's MISC Polish Cauldron Bubble.

Cauldron Bubble is a gorgeous glitter topper. It consists of purple, turquoise, teal, silver, lime green, and white glitters in a base that is all but clear thanks to a beautiful and subtle shimmer. The glitter mix includes hexes, squares, super tiny bar glitters, and even white hearts. I absolutely love it.

I chose to layer it over Sephora by OPI Break A Leg Warmer, which is an amazing dark gray. It was nearly opaque in just one coat, but I did use a second. As for Cauldron Bubble, it was super easy to apply. I only needed one coat and I got more than enough glitter coverage. I didn't get any of the white hearts on my nail but I purposely didn't try very hard to do so. I kind of prefer this polish without them. I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam, though I should have probably used a second coat. Cauldron Bubble didn't dry very gritty in the first place though.

I absolutely love the combination I created with Cauldron Bubble and Break A Leg Warmer. I just love the way the glitter sparkled against the dark base. Is it just me or do gray polishes look great with just about any glitter? It's just one of the reasons why I love them so much!

I had every intention of posting this about three weeks ago but my nephew Casey came into the world around the same time! He is absolutely precious and I just love that I get to be an auntie all over again.

The polish I have today is another from one of my favorite indie brands, Hit Polish. It's called Beltane Blues. It was among one of the first polishes I bought when the brand returned to making polish a few months ago. At first I was going to wear something completely different but I'm very happy I went with Beltane Blues instead.

Beltane Blues is a blue jelly loaded with copper, orange, royal blue, gold, and iridescent glitters. It's such a beauty, especially when you first see it in the bottle. I just want to swim among the gorgeous glitters. Beltane Blues can be worn on its own but I'm guessing it would take 2-3 coats to be opaque. I chose to wear it over Sinful Colors Break Away from the Sinful Shine line. Such an amazing creme at just one coat! Color wise they're not an absolute perfect match but it didn't matter because the combination took my breath away! I even tested it a over a lighter blue and it still looked great. I love when a polish is versatile. I had no problems whatsoever with the application of Beltane Blues. What you see is one coat of it and one coat of Rica Glossy Glam applied on top for a smooth finish.

I could not be happier with Beltane Blues! It's so gorgeous! I already have two mini bottles of it, so I probably don't need a full size of it, but I've been tempted several times. It's one of those polishes that I couldn't stop staring at while I had it on.

For those of you that love sales, Hit Polish has an amazing one going on right now! You can get 20% off on Etsy but if you choose to shop through their Storenvy site you can get 40% off! The sale is from October 10th 8am EST through October 13th 11pm EST.

P.S. I also recommend checking out their cuticle oils! I already have two of them, in Pink Sugar and Monkey Farts, and they are amazing. Not only do they smell fantastic but they aren't very greasy either! My skin just drinks it up! I have quite a few that I'm going to get during this sale.
My laptop mouse died for good last weekend and using nothing but the scroll pad has made it difficult to do much of anything, especially post. Thankfully I bought a new one so I am back. I have quite a few posts that have been sitting in my drafts for a while and today I am finally publishing one of them. Here is OPI Jinx which I believe I wore back in August.

Jinx is a coral/red/orange with a golden shimmer running throughout. It's absolutely gorgeous and bold. It truly was a perfect color for summer. I honestly had a hard time not staring at my nails while wearing it. I really should have thought to put on top coat to see that shimmer come to life.

Jinx applied effortlessly on the nail without a single problem. I just needed two coats. I had almost no clean up either which I loved.
If you love textured polishes, Jinx is a must have! It's now a favorite of mine along with Zoya Carter.

It's my 24th birthday today! These days it's more of a number than anything else but no matter how much older I get, I still feel like a kid at heart. Plus who doesn't love presents and cake? Today I am wearing my most recent Candy Lacquer, which I purposely bought so I could wear it on my birthday. Here is Birthday Girl!

Birthday Girl is the cutest mix of glitters. There's predominantly pink glitters but there's also a mix of red, blue, green, yellow, and purple glitters, all in various shapes and sizes. Some of the fun shapes include butterflies, stars, circles, and hexes. I layered two coats of Birthday Girl over two coats of Sinful Colors Sweet Nothing. At first I thought about layering it over either a pink or a purple, but I fell in love with over teal after swatching it on my nail wheel. I really like that I didn't go with a matchy matchy base. At first I wasn't crazy about how it looked after I applied a second coat of Birthday Girl. I felt like maybe there was too much glitter, but now I love it!

Formula wise, Birthday Girl was fairly easy to apply. I let my bottle sit upside down for a bit to help make application easier. Honestly though, Candy Lacquer polishes have great application regardless. I love that their base is thick enough that it keeps the glitter suspended and you don't have to dig to get a decent amount of glitter. The only thing that annoyed me is that some of the larger glitters stuck to each other. I've never really used the dabbing method before but on certain nails I had to. My nails are also shorter than they were a few days again due to peeling which caused a nail to break, so painting was a little harder this time. Dry time took a little longer than I would have liked but it was all good once I applied my Rica Glossy Glam top coat.
So yesterday was my mom's birthday and the 7th (Sunday) is my birthday! My nephew is due in two weeks, so he too will also be a September baby. Anyone else have a birthday in September? Since it's almost my birthday I've had the urge to wear some of the birthday themed polishes that I own. Today I have one that I wore a few days ago. It's GlitterDaze Birthday Bow-nanza, a limited edition glitter that was sold, along with a pink creme, in celebration of the 2nd anniversary of GlitterDaze.

Birthday Bow-nanza is such a stunning glitter! Everything about it is totally adorable. It's a mixture of pink, white, and holographic gold glitters. There's bar glitter, circles, diamonds, hearts, stars, and bows, all of which is in a clear base. I've never had a polish with bows but they're very cute. Unfortunately I only got one on my thumb. I forgot to turn my bottle upside down, like I usually do with most of my glitters before application, but next time I'll see if that helps.

For my base I used two coats of Sinful Colors Starfish, which I absolutely love. It's a super pale bubblegum pink that I think is very wearable, especially for those of you that might not be too fond of pinks. Application of Birthday Bow-nanza was pretty easy. For being so glitter dense, the base wasn't as thick as I thought it would be. Unfortunately it did take a while to dry but I'm pretty sure that was because I didn't let my first coat fully dry before applying the second. I only had to use one coat of Rica Glossy Glam to get a smooth finish.

I'm so in love with Birthday Bow-nanza! I especially love how it looked over Starfish but now I'm eager to try it over a brighter bubblegum pink. The next post you'll see from me will be on my birthday. I have the most perfect glitter for the occasion and the combo I came up with is a little unexpected but I just love it and can't wait to share with you all. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Unfortunately I'm sick again this week. I've been hit with a nasty cold. I feel miserable but I'm hoping it goes away soon. In the meantime, today I'm going to re-watch season 3 of Once Upon A Time on Netflix. Maybe that will make this cold a little more bearable.

Today I have another polish from my favorite indie brand, Candy Lacquer. It's called Frozen Treats. I believe it was one of the first polishes I ever bought from the brand but I can't recall for sure. I just remember how badly I had wanted it and I finally wore it for the first time a few weeks ago.

Frozen Treats is a fun mix of rainbow and white glitter mix in a clear base. It contains hexes, squares, and shreds in various sizes. I have always had great experiences with the Candy Lacquer polishes that I have worn in the past and Frozen Treats was no exception! I wore one coat of Frozen Treats over two, maybe three coats of Sinful Colors Pink Forever, which is a great pink creme if you're need of one. I got mine at my local Target. I topped it off with two coats of Rica Glossy Glam.

I'm slightly annoyed about the chip on my index finger but I'm pretty sure Pink Forever had already chipped somewhat before I added Frozen Treats on top. I wish I had applied it sooner. Either way, I just loved this combo so much and did not want to take it off. Frozen Treats is a cute summer polish that I'm so happy to own.

Since I didn't see Frozen Treats up in the shop, I messaged Sandra, the creator of Candy Lacquer, and found out that she was planning to discontinue it. Because I showed interest in it, she went ahead and listed it back in the shop. I don't know for sure if this means it's staying around for good but the last time I checked there were only a few bottles listed. As of right now the store is on hiatus since Sandra is getting ready to release Halloween polishes. The shop should be opened sometime this week.

I'm having such a great week so far! I just got my brand new iPod Touch 5 yesterday, a few days earlier than expected. It was time for an upgrade, seeing as I've owned my iPod Classic for about 7 years and it's dead. I bought the touch with money from tax returns and so far I am loving it! I bought the cutest London telephone booth case for it from Etsy and I love it. I also got some pretty amazing nail mail yesterday. I can't wait to wear the polishes and post about them on here. Getting packages in the mail always puts a smile on my face!

Anyway, onto the polish!

One of my favorite brands, Hit Polish closed for several months earlier in the year but ended up coming back into business. I have so many polishes from this brand, so I couldn't have been more happy when I heard the news. One of the new polishes they created when they came back was Verdantly Divine, which I am posting about today. I actually wore it several weeks ago over Hit Polish Peas In A Pod.

Verdantly Divine is a colorful glitter topper consisting of hexes, dots, and flakies in various shades of green. There's even pink and iridescent glitters and the base is slightly tinted green. I fell in love with this polish just based on the picture I saw of it in the listing. It's incredibly gorgeous! It's so shimmery and sparkly. It was hard not to stare at all of the beautiful glitter in the bottle. Application was a breeze. I only needed one coat to get amazing coverage. I finished by adding my Rica Glossy Glam top coat.
I'm happy to say that Verdantly Divine is still available in the shop. I'm hoping it sticks around for a while because it truly is a special polish. It's not only gorgeous but I can't recall anything that looks quite like it. It was made for spring but I also think it could pass off as a holiday polish. I totally see a decorated Christmas tree when I look at it.
Hi! I am back today with a beautiful polish that I wore several weeks ago. It's Hit Polish Peas In A Pod. It's sadly no longer available from the brand but I was lucky enough to find a bottle in a blog sale. Don't you just love when that happens?

Peas In A Pod is a pea green with a gorgeous holographic effect, which is on the medium side. It's not weak but it's not crazy strong either. I actually like it. The formula couldn't have been any better. It was creamy and applied like butter. I don't exactly remember how many coats I wore but I'm guessing two.

I took a ton of photos and while a lot of them turned out nice, I just
wasn't satisfied with how the holo looked in them. They weren't coming
out right. I edit my pictures on Picmonkey and usually I just crop them
and I'm done. This time I used the "auto adjust" option to bring out the
holo in my photos, which ended up working. I just might have to try that more often in the future.

Peas In A Pod is a lovely holographic polish that I'm happy I was able to get my hands on. It's just another reason why I'm in love with blog sales. It's a shame that it's no longer available. Fortunately Hit Polish has several other gorgeous polishes worth checking out. Their 30% off sale ends tomorrow!
Hi! Today I finally opened my first polish destash on Storenvy. I figured it was time to do one especially with the amount of polishes that I have. Some of the brands include China Glaze, OPI, Orly, and there's even a handful of indies as well. There's 69 polishes listed, so there's a lot to choose from.
Today I have a 4th of July mani that I had every intention of posting last month but as you can see I am very late. I don't recall painting my nails last year for the occasion so I was super excited to play with some patriotic polishes this time around. It was also the first time I had painted my nails in several weeks after they had suffered a bad break. The polish I used is a fairly new glitter from one of my favorite brands, Hit Polish. It's called Celebrate. Here it is!

Celebrate is a stunning mix of gold, red, silver, and blue glitters in hexagons, circles, squares, moons, shreds, and stars. On top of that there's the prettiest holographic shimmer. I love it so much! I just had to have it the minute I saw it listed in the shop. It's really stunning.

I layered one coat of Celebrate over Sinful Colors Endless Blue which is seriously awesome. It might just be my most favorite blue creme. It was opaque in just one coat! It can't get any better than that. I totally forgot to take a picture of it but I will definitely be pulling it out to wear it again. Celebrate was amazing to work with. Each dip of the brush provided a lot of glitter and the coverage was great. I used just one coat of it. I topped it off with a coat of Rica Glossy Glam for a completely smooth finish.

I'm really bummed that I wasn't able to take better pictures of this mani. They don't do the polish any justice. I wish you could see how beautiful this combo was in person. I just had the hardest time capturing it. I provided a bottle shot so you can see all of the amazing glitter up close. I will definitely be wearing it again so I'm hoping next time to get better pictures of it.

Celebrate is still available in the shop but there's only 7 bottles left and I'm not sure if it's being restocked. Hit Polish as of right now is having a 30% off sale, no code needed.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is a good one!

Today is my 200th post! I'm pretty happy about that. So what better to post than a polish from my favorite brand, Candy Lacquer. It is Sugar Skulls which I'm pretty sure was the first Candy Lacquer polish I ever wanted and bought. I finally wore it for the first time a few days ago. Here it is layered over Sinful Colors Sweet Nothing.

Sugar Skulls is a totally fun and beautiful mix of yellow flowers, pink and white hearts, and hex glitters in pink, yellow, white, teal, green, and opal/iridescent. The name of this one is perfect because the colors really do make me think of something sweet and sugary. I loved how well Sugar Skulls and Sweet Nothing went together.

As for the application I had no problems whatsoever. I turned my
bottle upside down, as I do with most glitters, and it sure helped. The
glitters came out with ease and coverage was perfect. As you can see, I was able to get a lot of the flowers and hearts on the nail. My right hand had a lot of them too. I used two coats
of Sugar Skulls. I topped it off with two coats of my Rica Glossy Glam
top coat.

I love this polish so much! I couldn't stop staring at my nails while wearing it. Something about it made me feel all happy inside. It was probably the cute flowers and hearts. I just love shaped glitter. Good news, it's still available in the shop!

Lately, I've been crazy about Sinful Colors cremes. For the most part they have great formulas and they're incredibly affordable at just $1.99 a bottle. Sometimes I'm wary about spending $9 on a creme because I could end up not liking the color or the formula might not be great. I've added so many of their cremes to my stash over the past few months and now I finally have a better range of undies for my large glitter collection. Today I'm going to be showing you one that I recently bought at my local Big Lots. Here is Sweet Nothing.

Sweet Nothing is such a pretty shade of blue. It's on the turquoise side, but not as green. It's not totally unique but in my collection it is. It's pretty much perfect. The formula was nothing short of amazing. It was creamy and applied like butter. It had great coverage on just the first coat alone but a second was needed due to some bare spots. Still, two coats is pretty impressive. It was pretty shiny on its own but I did use some top coat because I woke up the next morning with slight sheet marks. No biggie though!

I'm in love with this polish. Because the Sugar Rush collection was limited edition, I don't think you can still find it at Walgreens but if you have a local Big Lots, it's worth checking out!

Months ago I mentioned that I was going to a LA Kings Stanley Cup Final game with my dad. For those of you that don't follow hockey, the Kings did end up winning the Stanley Cup, which marks the second time they have won in the past two years. I couldn't be more happy about it. The game I went to was game 1 and it was an amazing experience for me since I had never been to a playoff game before and I also got to see it go into overtime, another first for me. Here's what I wore on my nails. Keep in mind I was running low on time and was severely lacking imagination.

I used black, silver, and white to match the colors on their jerseys. Not super creative as I said but I was happy with the simplicity. The black was China Glaze Liquid Leather, the silver was China Glaze Cheers To You, and the white was OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Out of the three, Liquid Leather was the easiest to use. It was opaque in two coats and applied smoothly. The one I had the most trouble with was OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Ugh, I got so frustrated with it! It went on streaky and did not want to dry whatsoever. Everyone raves about this polish and each time I have used it, I've had less than stellar results. I don't know if it's my bottle or my application, but it's not my favorite. My Rica Glossy Glam top coat really helped to make it look better.
I took a million photos at the game, some of which I thought about posting but I honestly do not feel like going through all of them. Just trust me when I say this, it was awesome. I'll never forget it. Now I'm just counting down the days that hockey is back on. I miss watching it.

Hi! It feels so good to be back to posting. I have such a gorgeous glitter to show you today. I wore it a while back layered over Sinful Colors Thimbleberry, shown in my previous post. It's from one of my favorite brands, Laquerlicious. As of right now, it's still available in the shop. Here is Gold Digger!

Gold Digger is a beautiful and sparkly gold glitter. It has both metallic and holographic glitters. At first I used it for an accent mani but I loved the gold so much over Sinful Colors Thimbleberry, that I decided to top the rest of my nails with it. I really loved the combination! It was really bold and eye catching. I feel like the two colors were made for each other. Gold Digger applied easily and had great glitter coverage in just one coat. I purposely made sure to use thin coats but according to the Laquerlicious store, Gold Digger can reach opacity in just two coats. How awesome is that?
If you're looking for an awesome gold glitter, Gold Digger is a perfect choice! It's gorgeous and has such a pretty sparkle to it. I've already tried it over another color, which I'll be posting another time. Thank you for stopping by!

I am finally back to posting! I didn't think taking a few days off from blogging would turn into a two month hiatus, not that I ever planned on staying gone this long. It started with a really bad nail break and I really didn't really feel like doing anything with them. I've also just been doing a lot of stuff during the summer with my family. Some beach trips, swimming just about every day I can, going to fun places, my sister's baby shower, and a week trip to Palm Springs. Not to mention working too. I have missed the heck out of playing with polish and blogging. The mani I'm showing you today was done right before my bad breakage. Here is Sinful Colors Thimbleberry.

Thimbleberry is a creme polish with red, pink, coral, and orange tones in it. I would say it's more red and coral than anything else but the other tones are still there. I seriously love everything about this color, especially how it looked on me. I don't like reds that much but this one is so wearable for me. It's not too red, thanks to the lovely coral tones. It was creamy and applied effortlessly on the nail. I only used two
coats but looking at some pictures I can see some VNL, though it's not too noticeable.

While it's a gorgeous polish, I had one hell of a time trying to capture it on camera. It looked different in each lighting. It was either too pink or way too orange. My pictures aren't totally true to how it looked, but they're not too far off either. It was so much more vibrant in person.

So, what do you think about Thimbleberry? I love it and I think it would look great on just about everyone. You also can't beat the $1.99 price. I have something pretty over it in the next post, so stay tuned for that!

Hey! I am so looking forward to tonight. I was supposed to work tonight but my plans totally changed. My dad surprised me with LA Kings tickets for the game tonight! I am so flipping excited! I cannot wait. I've been to games before but never during the playoffs. To know that they're playing for the actual Stanley Cup in this last series makes it even more special. Luckily I was able to get someone to cover my shift. Like there was any way I would be missing this game!

Anyway, I have another Laquerlicious glitter from the recent order I made. I wore it almost two weeks ago. Here's Silver Lining!

Silver Lining is a silver holographic and metallic glitter. It is stunning and so sparkly! As you can see, I used it for an accent nail. What you see is just one coat over OPI A Grape Fit. It's a dense glitter but I'm sure I could have gotten away with a thinner coat. I don't know why I waited so long to try out an accent nail. It's a great way to add something special to the mani but without making it look overwhelming. Silver Lining was a bit thick but it was easy to use and didn't give me any problems. It didn't dry super gritty so I only needed one coat of Rica Glossy Glam.

Silver Lining is a fantastic silver glitter! It's gorgeous and as far as my collection is concerned, it's pretty unique too. I don't have anything like it. I have another one from Laquerlicious, a gold one, that I'll be showing very soon.

I'm planning to paint my nails for the game but I won't be posting that until another day. Fingers crossed that they win tonight! Thank you for stopping by and I hope your day is a great one!
