GlitterDaze Birthday Bow-nanza

So yesterday was my mom's birthday and the 7th (Sunday) is my birthday! My nephew is due in two weeks, so he too will also be a September baby. Anyone else have a birthday in September? Since it's almost my birthday I've had the urge to wear some of the birthday themed polishes that I own. Today I have one that I wore a few days ago. It's GlitterDaze Birthday Bow-nanza, a limited edition glitter that was sold, along with a pink creme, in celebration of the 2nd anniversary of GlitterDaze.

Birthday Bow-nanza is such a stunning glitter! Everything about it is totally adorable. It's a mixture of pink, white, and holographic gold glitters. There's bar glitter, circles, diamonds, hearts, stars, and bows, all of which is in a clear base. I've never had a polish with bows but they're very cute. Unfortunately I only got one on my thumb. I forgot to turn my bottle upside down, like I usually do with most of my glitters before application, but next time I'll see if that helps.

For my base I used two coats of Sinful Colors Starfish, which I absolutely love. It's a super pale bubblegum pink that I think is very wearable, especially for those of you that might not be too fond of pinks. Application of Birthday Bow-nanza was pretty easy. For being so glitter dense, the base wasn't as thick as I thought it would be. Unfortunately it did take a while to dry but I'm pretty sure that was because I didn't let my first coat fully dry before applying the second. I only had to use one coat of Rica Glossy Glam to get a smooth finish.

I'm so in love with Birthday Bow-nanza! I especially love how it looked over Starfish but now I'm eager to try it over a brighter bubblegum pink. The next post you'll see from me will be on my birthday. I have the most perfect glitter for the occasion and the combo I came up with is a little unexpected but I just love it and can't wait to share with you all. Thank you so much for stopping by!

  2. This is such a sweet and happy glitter mix, it looks great over Starfish. I got a little mini of GlitterDaze Diamonds in the Sky with a blogsale purchase but I can't figure out what to layer it over. Do you know this one, Mellisa? It has a blue base with loads of silver holo glitters in it, including diamonds. I guess I'll try to match a blue with the base and use that. If I were braver I'd try it on its own as I think it was made to be worn that way, but given the mess I've made with glitters lately I'm scairt.

I can't wait to see what you'll do for your birthday!

    1. Thank you! I love when I find a great base for a glitter. Sometimes it can be a bit of a guessing game.

I just found a swatch of Diamonds In The Sky and it's a pretty polish. I can't think of anything at the top of my head that you can layer it over, but I'm sure whatever you pick will turn out gorgeous. You've done a lot of great combos, especially with Hare Polish!
