Trelly's MISC Polish Cauldron Bubble

Hello! A few weeks ago I went ahead and put aside all of the Halloween polishes that I own. I have way more than I realized. So far I've worn a couple during this month and the first one up is one that I bought from a blog sale several months ago. I should point out that it's no longer available from the brand. Sorry! Here is Trelly's MISC Polish Cauldron Bubble.

Cauldron Bubble is a gorgeous glitter topper. It consists of purple, turquoise, teal, silver, lime green, and white glitters in a base that is all but clear thanks to a beautiful and subtle shimmer. The glitter mix includes hexes, squares, super tiny bar glitters, and even white hearts. I absolutely love it.

I chose to layer it over Sephora by OPI Break A Leg Warmer, which is an amazing dark gray. It was nearly opaque in just one coat, but I did use a second. As for Cauldron Bubble, it was super easy to apply. I only needed one coat and I got more than enough glitter coverage. I didn't get any of the white hearts on my nail but I purposely didn't try very hard to do so. I kind of prefer this polish without them. I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam, though I should have probably used a second coat. Cauldron Bubble didn't dry very gritty in the first place though.

I absolutely love the combination I created with Cauldron Bubble and Break A Leg Warmer. I just love the way the glitter sparkled against the dark base. Is it just me or do gray polishes look great with just about any glitter? It's just one of the reasons why I love them so much!

Sephora by OPI It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat

Today I have the mani that I actually wore on 4th of July, but like my previous post, it's not themed at all. It just happened to be what I was wearing. I had been dying to wear the Sephora by OPI It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat ever since buying it last week during their sale. So here it is!

This is one coat layered over Sephora by OPI I'm With Brad. It was my first experience with a gold flake top coat and I loved it! It added a really beautiful effect to the polish. I liked that it was more than noticeable but not too blingy. It was really easy to work with too. No need for fishing or dabbing. I could have probably used more flakes on my index and pinky nail though. My coats were a little thick, so drying time was kind of slow.

I really don't think I would have paid $30 for it, because at the end of the day, it's still just a bottle of nail polish, but for a crazy sale price, I'm more than happy to have it! I can't wait to layer it over a bunch of colors.

Sephora by OPI I'm With Brad

Happy 4th of July! I had a busy but a fun day yesterday. I went to the Santa Barbara Zoo with my niece, mom, and some family friends, and afterward we all went to Carpinteria beach for the day. At the beach, I swam in the water which I normally don't do because I'm so terrified of sharks. I found a whole sand dollar while doing so, and it was awesome! Before I say anything else, my nails are sadly back to nubs. I've been dealing with peeling, which seems to always happen to me once my nails get to a certain length and I hate it! My nail middle nail broke because of it and I'm ashamed to say that I had a relapse in nail biting. I'm hating how short they are. Anyway, onto the nail polish. I actually don't have anything 4th of July themed for today, sorry. I have been wanting to paint my nails with one of my new colors, so I finally settled on one. It's not exactly meant for summer, more like fall and winter, but it's beautiful. It also happens to be on sale at Sephora this very moment. Without further ado, here is Sephora by OPI I'm With Brad.

I'm With Brad is a dark reddish brown shimmer that makes me think of chocolate/coffee. Sephora describes it as "opaque metallic wine over dark coffee." It is absolutely gorgeous! I love that it's dark but it's not black or near black. The shimmer is my favorite part, especially when the light hits it. It glows. I'm happy to say that the formula was really good. It was thinner and a little more watery than I was expecting, but I didn't mind those things. One coat had decent coverage, and it was almost opaque at two, but a third one was needed for the few bald spots remaining.

All of the Sephora by OPI polishes are on sale for $4.50, so if you've been wanting I'm With Brad, now is your chance to get yourself a bottle! I have a couple of others that I bought, one of which I'll be showing you very soon! I hope you all enjoy the fireworks tonight! I sadly won't be able to watch them since I will be working until after 9:00.

TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, Sephora, and indie haul!

I mentioned on Thursday that I went shopping and bought 19 polishes. I went to TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, and Sephora. I went back to Sephora the next day and came home with six new polishes. I also received an order from Pretty & Polished and Smitten polish about a week ago and a KBShimmer order on Friday. I figured it was no better time than to do a haul post!

TJ Maxx:

Barielle 5 pack with Swizzle Stick, Falling Star, Snow Day, Jordana's Skinny Jeans, and Out-Grey-Geous- $7.99. My huge lemming for Falling Star has officially been killed! I was incredibly excited to find it.

OPI 2 Pack with Stranger Tides and Skull and Glossbones- $7.99. Big lemmings killed with this pack!

Marshall's:

Orly Perfect Pair Pack with Go Deeper and Monster Mash- $6.99. There were so many awesome Orly packs to choose from but it was perfect that this one has the two FX glitters that I have been wanting the most.

Sation Nail Lacquer in Lollipop! Goes The Princess, Love Is In The Heir, and Chocolate Chip Resistant- $2.99 each. These are my first polishes from Sation, so I'm excited to try them.

OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener and an OPI bangle bracelet- $6.00. I saw this on my previous trip to Marshall's but I couldn't pass it up this time as it was on clearance and it was the last set. The bracelet it comes with is super cute!

Burlington Coat Factory:

Color Club Halo Hues in Blue Heaven, Cloud Nine, Angel Kiss, and Cherubic- $3.98 each. I almost didn't go to Burlington but was so happy that I did. I was going to get these no matter the price but was shocked to find out that they were so cheap.

Sephora:

Sephora by OPI Looks Like Rain Dear, Mauve-ie Star In The Making, Traffic Stopper Copper, I'm With Brad, Just A Little Dangerous (totally forgot to get a picture of this one, sorry!), and It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat (x3)- $4.50 each. This brand is being discontinued, so I have been taking full advantage of it. These all come from three different Sephora's, at two different malls. One of the stores was in JCPenney's. Like I mentioned in my previous post, the It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat were also $4.50, originally $30.

Pretty & Polished:

Punk'd Up Betty, Boy Bleu, and Sand Art- $7.00 each, plus shipping. I've been wanting these polishes for the longest time and when I found out that they were going to be discontinued from the brand once sold out, I finally got them for myself. As of right now Sand Art and Boy Bleu are still in stock.

Smitten Polish:

Candy Kisses-9.00, plus shipping. This polish is so cute! I didn't think Noelie was creating this one anymore, so I had to get it when I saw it listed in her shop.

KBShimmer:

Proud Peacock and Sugar Plum Faerie- $8.75 each and The Peach Pit and Field of Greens- $5.00 each, plus shipping. Sugar Plum Faerie and Proud Peacock are core colors, but The Peach Pit and Field of Greens are from the recently released super special edition Misfits collection. They're actually sold out and won't be produced again.

So that's it for now! I don't feel incredibly guilty for these purchases, because most everything I bought was for a deal and in a way, I feel like it justifies my spending. I usually don't post prices in my haul, but I wanted to share my awesome deals with you! I have decided that I'm not going to be putting myself on a no buy, because it clearly does not work.

Want a real gold top coat for $4.50? Get to Sephora!

I had no plan on posting today, but I feel compelled to share this with you guys! Some of you might already know that the Sephora by OPI line is being discontinued and all of the polishes are currently on sale for $4.50. I went to the mall yesterday just to take part in it. I can't resist pretty polish or a good sale. I went again today, to a different Sephora and I found about 7 bottles of Sephora By OPI It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat. I just about died when an employee told me they were only $4.50!

YOU HEARD ME RIGHT, 4.50. For a polish that retails for $30. Call me crazy but I bought 3 bottles. My mom even bought her own after I told her it was real gold.

Seriously, go to Sephora if you can! Or lots of them. I can't promise that you'll find what I did, since each Sephora might have different stock, but it's worth the shot. Let me know what you end up finding!

Sephora By OPI Eve-y On The Eyes

I was busy all last week with work, so I barely had time to paint my nails, but this week has been much better. Unfortunately my nails are super short nubs, thanks to my job. I'm really sad that they're so short, I can't wait until they grow out. Anyway, today I have Sephora Eve-y On The Eyes, which I found at Marshalls a few weeks ago.

Sephora By OPI Eve-y On The Eyes is from the Garden of Good and Evil from last year. It's a dark purple with beautiful shimmer and it is gorgeous! My heart skipped a beat after doing a test swatch on my nail. I really love it. I couldn't capture the shimmer all that well, but it's so much better in person. The formula was really good. I only used three coats, but a third wouldn't have hurt.

I guess I wasn't paying attention to this beauty when it was originally released, but I'm glad I now have it. I almost left with it's super similar sister, Sephora By OPI Who's Spinning Tonight? but I'm more than happy with my choice.

My first nail mail!

About two weeks ago I commented on a post by Rach over at stuff i (s)watched on her swatch of Color Club Wild Orchid. I simply said how it was gorgeous and I needed to add it to my wishlist. Later, I saw that Rach had sent me an email wondering if I wanted her bottle as a gift. I was really surprised by the sweet gesture and I said yes! I was even more surprised when I got the package to not only find the beautiful polish, but other amazing goodies Rach sent me! I was too excited that I couldn't not share with you, so here they are!

Color Club Wild Orchid, ULTA Orange You Glad It's summer?, Revlon Just Tinted Shiny Top Coat

I was only expecting Wild Orchid, so I'm super grateful for the others! I have literally no orange polishes in my stash, no ULTA close to me, or any ULTA polishes, so I'm very pleased with the orange polish. As for the top coat, I go through more than I realize and could always use more, so I'm happy to have another bottle.

Rach was nice enough to add in a sample pack of Sephora by OPI Restorative hand moisturizer. I will admit, I hardly ever use lotion on my hands. I know I should, so maybe I'll end up buying it if I like it. I also got a Zoya Smoke & Mirrors nail plate. I never got around to getting any polishes from this collection, but I really want to. This gives me a better idea at what looks good on me.

Now for the cute stuff! I got a really cute card with a sweet message inside from Rach. I also got some super adorable owl stickers! I have a feeling my niece will be begging me for these.

So there you have it, my first nail mail! I was very excited and surprised to have received all of this awesome stuff. The whole package was very well put together and extremely thoughtful. Thank you Rach for everything!

If you haven't already checked out Rach's blog, please do so! Here's the link:http://stuffiswatched.blogspot.com/

Have a great day!

Sephora by OPI: Tempted By Teal

Tempted by Teal is my first Sephora by OPI polish. It's from their Garden of Good & Evil collection. My mom was nice enough to get it for me while we were both at Sephora for my free birthday gift back in September. It was either this or Looks Like Rain Dear, which I've been wanting for a while, but since this one was limited edition, I figured it was the better choice. And it's beautiful too, so no complaints here.

As you can tell from the name, it's a teal polish and it's a metallic. Looking at the bottle, there are streaks of gold in it, but that's really only for the metallic finish. Sometimes, I did see bits of gold on the nail, but it's not super noticeable.

It's kind of blah and boring in the shade, but in the sunlight, that's when it really comes alive and shines. It's super beautiful. I hardly have many pictures in the shade, compared to how many I have in the sun. And there are a lot of pictures in this post, just to warn you.

I don't own any metallic polishes besides this, so I don't know if all of them are opaque but I'm pretty sure this one was from what I remember. I think I did about two coats, but then again my brain is a bit foggy.

Here are some bottle shots. You can really see the gold that I was talking about. Excuse the smudge on the cap. I stupidly smeared my finger against it when I was painting another nail.

Now some shade pictures. Not every exciting, but still a nice color.

See, the sunlight brings out all the magic!

This was a nice way to go for my first Sephora by OPI polish. I wouldn't exactly call this color unique as I'm sure there are many dupes for it, but for my collection, it was. So if you are lacking a metallic polish in your collection, this is a nice way to start. Thanks for reading!
