Different Dimension Monster Mash

Happy Halloween! I decided to keep Candy Lacquer Pretty Little Werewolf on longer than I originally intended to. I didn't take it off until yesterday. I had another Halloween polish I wanted to wear before my mani today but because I ran out of time I wasn't able to get to it. Oh well! I'm happy to share the one I have for today. Last year I wore Different Dimension Have The Lambs Stopped Screaming? on Halloween and this year I'm wearing another polish from Different Dimension called Monster Mash which is from their 2014 collection.

Monster Mash is a super pretty orange, black, and grey glitter topper in a clear base with holographic shimmer. There are hexes, circles, triangles, and stars. I absolutely love it! It couldn't be more perfect for Halloween. I layered one coat of Monster Mash over 2 coats of Sinful Colors Cool Gray, which is by far the best gray creme in my collection. Monster Mash is so filled with glitter that there was no need for fishing or digging. I got more than enough glitter with each dip of the brush. I used two coats of Rica Glossy Glam, which I'm running low on. I definitely need to get a new bottle for myself.

I love Monster Mash! It's Halloween in a bottle. I hope you all have a fun and safe holiday! As for me, I'm not dressing up but I'll be spending the night with my niece while she trick or treats.

Candy Lacquer Pretty Little Werewolf

If you don't already know, purple is my favorite color, for both polish and everything else. The mani I have today has tons of it and it also features my favorite indie brand, Candy Lacquer. I couldn't go without wearing at least one of their Halloween polishes this year. Without further ado here is Candy Lacquer Pretty Little Werewolf.

Pretty Little Werewolf was a limited edition glitter topper that has sadly been discontinued for a while but I was able to find my bottle in a blog sale, which seems to be the case for a good portion of my Candy Lacquers. It's a beautiful mix of white, pink, gray, and purple matte, metallic and holographic glitters in shapes which include hexes, moons, diamonds, and stars. I also really like that there's a few different shades of purple and pink and not just one kind.

For my base I used two coats of OPI A Grap Fit, which is without a doubt my most favorite purple creme in my collection. It was absolute perfection and it applied like a dream, just like it did the first time I used it. Love it! I left my bottle of Pretty Little Werewolf upside down for a bit before applying. With my first coat, not as much glitter came out as I was hoping but my second coat did the trick. I was able to get more than enough glitter out on my nails. I was especially happy that I got moons, stars, and circles out. Speaking of which, I love how the two big circles look on my middle finger nail. It was a happy accident! I used two coats of Rica Glossy Glam for a glassy smooth surface because some pieces of glitter were poking through.

By the way, the small chip on my middle finger nail was due to me dinging my nail before I had the chance to top coat it and because of that a piece of glitter flaked off, taking the base with it.

The picture in the sun was taken with my new iPod Touch 5 that I got over the summer. I just love how how it turned out!

Oh and here's a bottle shot of all of the gorgeous glitter!

I can't express how much I love Pretty Little Werewolf and this mani! It's girly and perfect for someone like me that loves purple and glitter. I'll be sad when I take it off today.

Noodles Nail Polish Pick Your Poison

Hello! So obviously I'm not going to be able to wear every single Halloween polish that I own but so far I've managed to wear a handful of really gorgeous ones. The one I have today is no exception. It's Pick Your Poison from the indie brand Noodles Nail Polish. The only other polish I have from them is Sleepy Hollow which I actually bought last Halloween but still haven't worn yet.

I had to have Pick Your Poison the minute I saw a swatch of it. It's a glitter bomb that has black squares and hexes along with gorgeous holo skull and crossbones, squares, and hexes. I could stare at the holo glitter in this all day! I love sparkle and Pick Your Poison has tons of it! As for the skull glitters, it's not my most favorite shape when it comes to glitter but I have a few polishes with them that I've made an exception for because they were just too pretty to pass up. Pick Your Poison is one of those! Granted, I only got about two of the skulls out on my nail but regardless of that, I don't mind them in this polish. The fact that they're holo makes me like them even more.

Pick Your Poision was such a dream to work with! I layered one coat of it over three coats of LynBDesigns White Fang. There was no shortage of glitter and I didn't have to fish either. I did leave my bottle upside down before applying but that was mostly for the skull glitters. Speaking of which, some of them were trapped against the sides of the bottle so I did have to use a tooth pick to break them up but no big deal there. I was very happy that Pick Your Poison also dried pretty fast. I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam for a smooth finish.

Here's a bottle shot I took of all of the gorgeous glitter. Pretty huh?

I'm quite in love with Pick Your Poison! It's definitely a new favorite of mine. What's not to love? It's a gorgeous sparkly holo glitter bomb. There's only 3 bottles left in the Noodles Nail Polish shop. I'm not sure if it's going to be restocked so you better act fast if you want it!

Laquerlicious Witchful Thinking

Halloween is just around the corner so I'm trying to wear as many Halloween themed polishes as I can. Today I have a beautiful one from the brand, Laquerlicious. It's Witchful Thinking which is apart of their 2014 Halloween collection.

Witchful Thinking, which has the cutest name by the way, is an orange, purple, fuchsia, lavender, and black glitterbomb. It has both holo and metallic glitters. It's very pretty! I saw a gorgeous combo done by punchflavor on Instagram using both Witchful Thinking and Sinful Colors Enchanted, which I had, so I decided to recreate the look for myself.

I used two coats of Enchanted, an amazing dark purple creme that was opaque in two coats. I then did one coat of Witchful Thinking. It's so packed with glitter that there was no need for fishing, digging, and I didn't even have to turn the bottle upside down. The glitter came out no problem and application was a breeze. It dried rather smoothly so I only needed one coat of Rica Glossy Glam to make it completely smooth.

I absolutely love this combo! Witchful Thinking is on the beautiful, girly side but this mani is a bit edgy thanks to the dark purple creme that is Sinful Colors Enchanted. Witchful Thinking is still available in the Laquerlicious shop and I was able to find my bottle of Enchanted at my local Walgreens.

MDJ Creations Leg Warmers

Today I am introducing a new brand to my blog called MDJ Creations. I have acquired a decent amount of their polishes over the past few months and even though this is my first time wearing one, the brand has become one of my favorites! Melissa, the creator behind the brand has a talent for creating gorgeous polishes and on top of that, she's incredibly sweet! About a week ago I wanted to take a small break from Halloween themed polishes and that's where the MDJ Creations fall appropriate glitter Leg Warmers came in.

As described on the MDJ Creations Etsy shop, Leg Warmers "is a mega holographic glittery top coat featuring Red holo dots that shift to magenta, orange & red, plus holographic silver, copper, gold, caramel & turquoise hexes & slices & micro glitter in a clear base." In other words, it's completely gorgeous and so stunning! Holo glitter will forever be my favorite kind of glitter and this one is chock full of them! It's hard not to stare at all of the beautiful glitter in the bottle.

For my base, I used two coats of OPI Skull and Glossbones, a very light, warm toned grey that in my opinion could almost pass of as a nude type shade. I kind of see a touch of beige in it. It was my first time using it and I absolutely loved it! I only used one coat of Leg Warmers and as you can see, it had great glitter coverage. I didn't have to dig or fish for any of the glitter either, which I was extremely happy with. I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam for a smooth finish.

Here's a bottle shot I was able to capture. I edited it a bit to show off the holo but only slightly.

I'm so in love with Leg Warmers! Can you say gorgeous?! I could not stop staring at it. It really is a perfect glitter for fall and just about anytime for that matter. I especially loved how it looked over Skull and Glossbones. It was a striking but soft combination.

I totally recommend MDJ Creations! Leg Warmers is just one of many gorgeous colors to check out. You won't be disappointed by this brand! Be sure to follow their Facebook and Instagram for updates! I myself can't wait to get more of their gorgeous colors on my nails.

Hit Polish Beetlejuice Potion

I have another beautiful Halloween polish to share with you. It's a recently new one in my collection and it happens to be from one of my favorite indie brands, Hit Polish. Here is Beetlejuice Potion!

Beetlejuice Potion is a glitter topper consisting of black, white, and iridescent glitters, along with green flakies and there's even the prettiest green shimmer. I cannot express how gorgeous this polish is! I love looking at in the bottle but it's just as lovely on the nails too. It's pretty much perfect.

I knew I wanted to layer this over a gray because it looked seriously amazing over each one that I tested it over. It was a hard decision so in the end I decided to use all of them! It's sort of like an ombre but with glitter. I really love the way it turned out! From index to pinky I used one coat of Sinful Colors Cool Gray, two coats of Frankly, I Don't Give A-dam, two coats of China Glaze Recycle, and two coats of Sephora by OPI Break A Leg Warmer. On my thumb I used LynBDesigns White Fang. I topped off each nail with one coat of Beetlejuice Potion. The glitter came out with no problem and applied easily. I used two coats of Rica Glossy Glam for a smooth finish.

I was crazy impressed with how long my mani lasted. I wore it for four days and I only had fading at the tips. Rica Glossy Glam really works! I am running low so I'm going to have to get another bottle soon.

I absolutely love Beetlejuice Potion. It's crazy pretty and I think it would look great on several colors. It's still available for purchase in both Hit Polish stores, along with several other beautiful Halloween themed polishes.

Laquerlicious Chills & Thrills

Today I have my most favorite Halloween polish that I have worn so far this year. Laquerlicious Chills & Thrills is not only a Halloween themed polish but it was also created for a great cause. It's another Polish For Pit Bulls collaboration between Michelle of Laquerlicious and The Em-purr-ium. You not only get the beautiful polish but also the cutest fob key chain, made personally by the The Em-purr-ium, and a baggie of extra glitters. All together, it costs $10 plus shipping and $5 from each sale will be donated to the Fresno Bully Rescue which benefits pit bulls. How awesome is that?! As a dog lover myself, I had to get it!

Chills & Thrills is a Halloween glitter bomb that contains all sorts of colors, shapes, and sizes of glitter in a golden shimmery base. The shapes include circles, squares, hexes, diamonds, stars, moons, triangles, and skulls. I just love it! It's absolutely perfect for Halloween and the shimmer, which is on the heavy side, is so amazing. I could stare at this beautiful polish all day!

I layered Chills & Thrills over LynBDesigns White Fang, a white creme. White Fang was streakier than I thought it would be and even at three coats it wasn't totally opaque. Still, it applied easily and dry time wasn't an issue. Chills & Thrills was a pleasure to work with. So much glitter came out with each dip of the brush. What you see is what one coat over White Fang. I topped it off with one coat of Rica Glossy Glam.

I adore how Chills & Thrills looks over white! The colors really pop and it kind of reminds me candy.

Here is a picture of the fob key chain, which is a wristlet too. Isn't it cute? I just love the candy corn colors! I can't wait to try it out.

I love Chills & Thrills! There's nothing better than having a gorgeous polish that happens to be benefiting a great cause. There's still plenty of bottles left up in the Laquerlicious shop but once sold out it will not be restocked.

Lumina Lacquer The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion

Hello! I have yet another Halloween inspired mani today. One of my favorite indie brands, Lumina Lacquer created a few Mickey themed polishes a while back. I wanted them but I never did pull the trigger. Several months down the road I found a bottle of the The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion through a blog sale and this time I was very quick to buy it. I have been wanting to wear it for a while and I finally did about a week ago. Here it is!

The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion is a mix of black, gray, gold, and silver glitters all in a clear base that also has a pretty but subtle gold shimmer. There are hexes, moons, and of course Mickey heads. Some of the glitters are holo, which is my favorite kind. It's a beauty.

I wasn't sure what to wear it over at first but after testing it over China Glaze Recycle, my mind was set. I used two coats of Recycle and just one coat of The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion. I let my bottle sit upside down before applying and it really helped with application. The Mickey glitters didn't come out as much as I hoped they would but I was still pleased. I got one on my pinky nail and middle finger nail, though some of that one got buried by the base. I topped it off with two coats of Rica Glossy Glam.

I am so in love with The Sorcerer's Haunted Mansion! It's gorgeous but the fact that it's Mickey/Disney inspired makes me love it that much more. Sadly this one is no longer available from Lumina Lacquer but it's definitely worth grabbing if you come across a bottle.

Trelly's MISC Polish Cauldron Bubble

Hello! A few weeks ago I went ahead and put aside all of the Halloween polishes that I own. I have way more than I realized. So far I've worn a couple during this month and the first one up is one that I bought from a blog sale several months ago. I should point out that it's no longer available from the brand. Sorry! Here is Trelly's MISC Polish Cauldron Bubble.

Cauldron Bubble is a gorgeous glitter topper. It consists of purple, turquoise, teal, silver, lime green, and white glitters in a base that is all but clear thanks to a beautiful and subtle shimmer. The glitter mix includes hexes, squares, super tiny bar glitters, and even white hearts. I absolutely love it.

I chose to layer it over Sephora by OPI Break A Leg Warmer, which is an amazing dark gray. It was nearly opaque in just one coat, but I did use a second. As for Cauldron Bubble, it was super easy to apply. I only needed one coat and I got more than enough glitter coverage. I didn't get any of the white hearts on my nail but I purposely didn't try very hard to do so. I kind of prefer this polish without them. I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam, though I should have probably used a second coat. Cauldron Bubble didn't dry very gritty in the first place though.

I absolutely love the combination I created with Cauldron Bubble and Break A Leg Warmer. I just love the way the glitter sparkled against the dark base. Is it just me or do gray polishes look great with just about any glitter? It's just one of the reasons why I love them so much!

Hit Polish Beltane Blues

I had every intention of posting this about three weeks ago but my nephew Casey came into the world around the same time! He is absolutely precious and I just love that I get to be an auntie all over again.

The polish I have today is another from one of my favorite indie brands, Hit Polish. It's called Beltane Blues. It was among one of the first polishes I bought when the brand returned to making polish a few months ago. At first I was going to wear something completely different but I'm very happy I went with Beltane Blues instead.

Beltane Blues is a blue jelly loaded with copper, orange, royal blue, gold, and iridescent glitters. It's such a beauty, especially when you first see it in the bottle. I just want to swim among the gorgeous glitters. Beltane Blues can be worn on its own but I'm guessing it would take 2-3 coats to be opaque. I chose to wear it over Sinful Colors Break Away from the Sinful Shine line. Such an amazing creme at just one coat! Color wise they're not an absolute perfect match but it didn't matter because the combination took my breath away! I even tested it a over a lighter blue and it still looked great. I love when a polish is versatile. I had no problems whatsoever with the application of Beltane Blues. What you see is one coat of it and one coat of Rica Glossy Glam applied on top for a smooth finish.

I could not be happier with Beltane Blues! It's so gorgeous! I already have two mini bottles of it, so I probably don't need a full size of it, but I've been tempted several times. It's one of those polishes that I couldn't stop staring at while I had it on.

For those of you that love sales, Hit Polish has an amazing one going on right now! You can get 20% off on Etsy but if you choose to shop through their Storenvy site you can get 40% off! The sale is from October 10th 8am EST through October 13th 11pm EST.

P.S. I also recommend checking out their cuticle oils! I already have two of them, in Pink Sugar and Monkey Farts, and they are amazing. Not only do they smell fantastic but they aren't very greasy either! My skin just drinks it up! I have quite a few that I'm going to get during this sale.
