Revlon Street Wear Witchy

It seems like it's been forever since I last posted a manicure, sorry about that! Today I have Revlon Street Wear Witchy to show you! It was almost Zoya Harley, but when I found out that on Monday I'm going to my first Los Angeles Kings hockey game with my dad, I knew I didn't want to wear one of my nicer colors only to remove it two days later when I paint my nails with the team's colors. That's how Witchy wound up on my nails!

Witchy is a Revlon oldie from the 99 ₵ Only store. My sister and I use to go there a lot in our elementary/middle school years for makeup. From there, I have a handful of Street Wear polishes that I've had for at least 6-8 years, and though some look used, it's been too long to remember wearing them! Witchy is similar to a pistachio or mint green, but it's dirtier/dustier. The name's perfect as it really does remind me of the green skin some cartoon witches have. It also has the hidden shimmer that's hard to see unless in the sun.

Here's one picture! I apologize for the peeling on my middle finger nail. I'll have to file it down soon.

As much as I like the color, the formula is just okay. It's kind of thin/watery, not terribly, and though it flowed on the nail, it was almost hard to control. The first coat was streaky with bald spots. The second coat seemed to fix that, but a third would have been ideal. It seemed to take forever to dry. An hour later it still felt wet, a few hours I got a dent, and this morning my right hand index finger was smudged! I'm not sure if the formula/dry time have anything to do with how old it is, or maybe it was me. It wasn't a total nightmare, but not the easiest to work with. It was easy to clean up though!

 Another picture!

Witchy doesn't make my heart race, but I do love the color. I'm not sure if the formula and dry time is worth it, but it is old, so I can't blame it too much. Thanks for checking this out and keep an eye out for my LA Kings manicure post, which should be up around Tuesday!

  2. This green looks wonderful on you, and you're so lucky to have this Street Wear polish in your stash even if the formula gave you a hard time - it's a collector's item!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing your hockey-team inspired manicure as well as hearing all about your experience! :)

It's really lovely how you and your dad can spend quality time like that together. Have fun at the game tomorrow!
