Candy Lacquer Candy Dots

Just a warning, the polish I'm about to show you is no longer available from the brand. I was just lucky enough to come across a bottle in a blog sale. One of my new favorite indie brands is Candy Lacquer. All they have is glitter, no complaints here! It's my favorite thing when it comes to polish. I have the problem of wanting just about every creation Sandra, the owner, makes. The combinations are not only perfect, but they're downright pretty and cute. Today I have Candy Lacquer Candy Dots.

Candy Dots is as the name applies, a glitter with nothing but circle glitters in cute candy colors. There is red, blue, light pink, dark pink, gold, and green. I'm obsessed with it! I mean, just look at all of those circles. It's a simple creation but it's totally awesome at the same time. I really have nothing like it. I put it over Pahlish Train Underwater literally the next morning after getting it in the mail. I would have put it on right away but I had to work a night shift.

Anyway, what you see is two coats. I'll be honest, application was a little tricky because the polish was almost too basey, if you know what I mean. That was mostly due to a lot of the glitters being stuck against the side of the bottle. To get a good amount of dots on my nails, my coats had to be a tad thick. The second coat was a lot better than the first because I let the bottle sit upside down for a few minutes. For top coat I used two coas of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, which made it completely glassy smooth. As for the little problems I had, I really don't care all that much because Candy Dots is well worth it to me.

I LOVE CANDY DOTS! Sorry, but it's awesome. I do feel bad posting about a polish that can't easily be bought, but it's too pretty not to share. If you ever come across Candy Dots and you happen to love glitter, especially circle glitter, do not hesitate in buying it! I can't wait to try it over a bunch of different colors.

  2. Yes, it's too pretty not to share! I love how fun and colorful this is, and having it over a deep blue base really shows off the glitters. :)
