Pretty & Polished Cheer Camp

Today I have the third and final Pretty & Polished that I got for Christmas. Cheer Camp is one that I wanted ever since seeing Kellie Gonzo's gorgeous swatch of it here.

It is a sheer milky base that is lightly tinted pink and has pastel pink and light purple hex glitters with tiny pink micro glitters. It's so soft, dreamy, and girly. I love it! It's a refreshing change from bright and dark polishes. The formula was really good. It was sheer on the first coat but I was able to reach opacity in three coats. It didn't dry gritty, so one coat of Gelous was enough to make my nails smooth.

I'm in love with Cheer Camp. It's gorgeous and unlike anything I have. Sadly, it too is discontinued from the brand, but it is still available for purchase until all bottles are gone, so if you've been wanting it, I would get it ASAP!

If you're interested in Cheer Camp you can find it here.

KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone

Today I have KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone, the third and final polish that I got from the brand for Christmas.

Don't Teal Anyone is a dark teal crelly base loaded with gold, blue, teal, navy, and fuchsia hexes in multiple sizes, as well as micro fuchsia bar glitter. It is so gorgeous! The colors together are a match made in heaven. I love how they pop against the dark base. As for the bar glitter, I know many people aren't a fan, but these are teeny tiny. I wish my photos could capture how dark the teal base is. This is another fantastic formula from KBShimmer. It spread evenly and it was easy to control. It was almost opaque in two coats, but a third was needed. I used a coat of Gelous and Orly Sealon, which made it completely smooth.

Don't Teal Anyone is another stunner from KBShimmer. Aside from Elle, this is my favorite. It's safe to say that I'm completely in love with the brand. I'm so happy with the ones I have and I can't wait to make another order with them.

You can purchase KBShimmer from their Etsy shop here and their website here. They cost $8.75 for a full sized 15ml bottle.

KBShimmer Watercolor

Today I have KBShimmer Watercolor, another indie that I got for Christmas and I'm finally now just taking the time to wear it. It was the first polish I ever wanted from the brand and it sure didn't disappoint!

Watercolor is so gorgeous! It has so much going on. It's a blue neon base packed with beautiful glitter. There are two purple glitters in different sizes, large royal blue hex, pink holographic hex, and magenta hex glitters, and also micro pink and silver holographic glitters. The inspiration behind is a watercolor painting with pink, purples, and blues. I just love how colorful it is! It pops off the nail. I loved the formula. It was easy to work with and was opaque in three coats, all of which dried fairly fast. I just bought Gelous as a top coat the other day and I love it! I only needed two coats to make it smooth, whereas my other would have needed a bunch of coats.

I'm in love with Watercolor! It's gorgeous and super unique. I totally recommend this polish to anyone who is interested in purchasing from KBShimmer. But then again, all of their polishes are gorgeous so you really can't go wrong with your choice!

OPI The Impossible

Today I have the second OPI Liquid Sand polish that I got. It is The Impossible, the bright, reddish pink from the Mariah Carey collection.

I loved OPI Stay The Night, the other beautiful Liquid Sand that I got, and I love this one too! I never really gravitate toward a reds or pinks in a collection but this one is so pretty. It's bright, sparkly, and I find the color very flattering. It's a juicy pinky red with small hexagon glitter and there's also beautiful purple shimmer that can be seen in the bottle. It also has cute stars in the mix but they're hard to get on the nail. As you can see, I didn't get a single one, but regardless, I still like the polish. I can see myself wearing it during the summer. This is three coats.

I've been completely won over by the Liquid Sand polishes. I'm really glad I took the chance on them. I'm definitely going to be getting What's Your Number? and a few from the Bond Girls collection as well.

OPI Stay The Night

I must admit, I wasn't completely convinced by the liquid sand/textured polish craze that has been taking over. I saw swatches of different collections featuring the new trend and I was neutral about it. Still, I wanted try it to see for myself. To test the waters, I chose two OPI Liquid Sand polishes and after a quick swatch on my nails, I fell in love! Today I'm showing you my first pick, OPI Stay The Night.

Stay The Night is a black matted base with red glitter. Being a Liquid Sand, it's grainy and it sparkles like sand. I've seen this one described as looking like molten lava and I must say that is pretty accurate. It's super pretty to look at. The texture isn't nearly rough as I thought it would be. I actually like it. The most surprising thing about this polish? Removal is SO easy and hassle free! I expected it to be a pain but I was so wrong. It didn't involve any elbow grease and it removed so much easier than a glitter. I needed three coats. It dried faster than some polishes I have used but it took a good while until it was completely hardened.

It's settled, I'm in love with Liquid Sand! I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Stay The Night is one that I recommend. I can't wait to show you the other one I got in my next post. In the mean time, I'm hoping to get my hands on even more colors!

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Blush Diamond

Last year I was lucky to find a set of Sally Hansen Nail Prisms at my local Ross and Blush Diamond was one of them. I decided to use it last night for the first time and upon my first brushstroke, I fell in love. Take a look!

Blush Diamond is a light pink holo that is not shy by any means. The holo is super intense! It's by far the strongest I have in my collection. I had no trouble whatsoever capturing it in photos. I layered it over Color Club Wild At Heart, so it appears darker than it really is. It's not exactly the best base color, being that it's purple, but it was a random pairing that I did late last night out of boredom and I really like how it turned out. I'm actually only sporting Blush Diamond on my left hand, since my right hand is covered in glitters and crackles.

It was runny and thin but it was easy to use and I had no problems with it. This is one coat and no top coat. It was slow to dry though. It was still tacky after about 20 minutes and I ended up getting sheet marks on my middle and ring finger because of it. Also, it kind of had a weird smell. It wasn't super strong or disgusting, but just different from what I'm used to.

I absolutely love Blush Diamond! I'll be honest, I was afraid to use it at first since it's one of my special polishes. It is no longer sold by Sally Hansen but the good news is that you can find it on Ebay, along with the other Nail Prisms, for reasonable prices.

Color Club Wild At Heart

I have officially reached 100 posts! Today I have one of my favorite polishes that happens to be an awesome holo, Club Wild At Heart. It's the namesake from the 2009 collection and was my first polish from the brand. I've worn it before, but this is the first time I'm sharing it on my blog. It has been rather gloomy here in California for the past few days but the sun finally showed up yesterday and I was able to get some nice pictures.

Purple is one of my favorite colors and this one is amazing! I absolutely love it. It's so deep and rich. Of course the holo effect is absolutely gorgeous too. It is scattered but more than noticeable. It's strong in the bottle alone. It seriously has one of the best formulas I've ever worked with. It went on like butter, so creamy and easy to apply. What you see is just one coat! The drying time was decent as well. It's pure perfection and I couldn't be happier.

 Without topcoat:

The first time I wore Wild At Heart, I couldn't keep my eyes off it and it's definitely the same story this time! I'm happy to have this beauty in my stash. It's a definite must have from Color Club in my opinion.

China Glaze When Stars Collide

I have my last China Glaze Hologlam polish to show you today! Color wise, it is probably the most unique out of the three that I got and in the entire collection for that matter. It is When Stars Collide.

When Stars Collide is a dark maroon polish with a linear holographic effect. Like I said, it is very unique. I've never seen a holo in this color before. I really like that China Glaze didn't just give us any old purple, even though the purple lover in me probably would have liked it no matter what. The formula was just like the rest. It was relatively easy to work with and as with the other two, I only needed two coats. Again, no top coat was used.

So, that's all my Hologlam polishes! It's hard to choose a favorite because I genuinely love each of them, but it is probably a tie between When Stars Collide and Galactic Gray. I must say though, I wasn't blown away by the collection as a whole. For the price of $14, the holo should be much stronger. Luckily, I got mine for a little less than half that, so I'm not upset, nor is my wallet, but I'm not sure I would have paid full price. With the exception of the darker ones in the collection, the colors aren't terribly unique either. They're definitely pretty, but not worth $14. Still, I'm happy with the three that I have and I don't regret purchasing them.

Are you planning on getting anything from the Hologlam collection or just skipping it altogether?
