Laquerlicious Sip Of Summer

So I found out over the weekend that my sister who is expecting, is having a boy! I am so excited! I've been hoping she was going to have a boy from the beginning. Now I can officially start buying lots of cute stuff! Also, is there anyone who is keeping up with the hockey playoffs? I've been on the edge of my seat watching my LA Kings play against the San Jose Sharks. I'm hoping they'll be able to win the last and final Game 7 in the first series tonight. Fingers crossed!

Anyhow, today I have the last of the three new glitters from Laquerlicious. Here is Sip of Summer!

Sip of Summer is a super fun and cute matte glitter topper. It's a mix of pastel hex glitter, star glitter, and awesome triangle glitter! Some of the colors include blue, pink, purple, green, yellow, and white. Again, I let my bottle sit upside down for a bit before applying. I've been doing this out of habit for almost all glitters lately because it's super helpful. I used one coat of Sip of Summer over two coats of Barielle Swizzle Stix. I was going to add a second coat to just my pinky nail but I totally forgot to do that. I smudged a few of my nails when they were wet but it was all good after it dried. I topped everything off with a coat of Rica Glossy Glam.

I really love Sip of Summer! It's a fun glitter that will make any mani stand out. I couldn't stop staring at my nails when wearing it. It made me feel all happy inside.

Laquerlicious Crazy Daisies

Laquerlicious, along with Candy Lacquer, has become one of my favorite indies to date. Michelle, the creator, makes awesome glitter bombs. When I saw that she listed three new glitters in her shop, I just had to have them. Today I have one of them for you. Here is Crazy Daisies!

It is crazy indeed, but in the best way possible! It's a mixture of green, yellow, and pink neon flowers, hearts, pastel hexes, stars, iridescent glitter, and black and white triangles. Yes, triangle glitter! It's my first polish with them and I am loving it. This polish is so fun and loud. I have literally nothing like it.

I layered one coat over one coat of Barielle Swizzle Stix, which is an awesome sky blue crelly if you're ever looking for one. To help with my application of Crazy Daisies, I left my bottle sitting upside down for a while before using it. It definitely helped a lot! I was able to get a lot of triangles out, as well as flowers, though the majority of them are on my right hand. The base itself was a tad thick but when you have a glitter bomb like this, it's to be expected and therefore it didn't phase me. On a few nails, I was a little too heavy with my application and I put it on too thick, so it took a little longer to dry than I would have liked but totally my fault and not the polish. I topped it off with my Rica Glossy Glam top coat. I used about two coats to make it completely smooth.

Because it's too beautiful not to share, here's Swizzle Stix by itself! Like I said, I just used one coat. I didn't feel the need for a second but I read reviews where others needed 2-3 coats. I guess it depends. Either way, it applied like a dream and the drying time wasn't too shabby either. If you want to try out Barielle polishes, I recommend this being one of them!

So, I love Crazy Daisies! It's a super fun color that is perfect for when you want something loud and crazy on your nails. I'm curious to see how it will look over other colors now. It's available in the shop right now for just $7.

Random Skittle Mani!

I've been back from camping for almost three weeks. I had a great time, even though the weather in Carpinteria wasn't the greatest this time around. I took several walks along the beach and got so many pretty shells, including some whole sand dollars. I also spent time drawing, which I hadn't done in a while and my niece and I even watched The Amazing Spider-Man in our tent.

I missed painting my nails a lot and the look I'm sharing with you wasn't really planned. I guess you can call it a happy accident. I was in my room last weekend playing around with some of my untried polishes. I just grabbed what called to me and painted each nail a different color. I planned to remove all of the polishes and go with one choice, but I kind of fell in love with how my left hand turned out and decided to keep it on. Here's the result!

What you see from index to pinky is China Glaze Electrify, OPI Jinx, China Glaze Tail Me Something and Barielle Swizzle Stix. On my thumb, but not pictured, is Sally Hansen Big Money. This is such a random look but I can't help but like it. I will definitely be wearing these colors separately in the future. Oh and in case you're wondering why Tail Me Something looks different in the second picture, it was taken before I added a second coat.

TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, Sephora, and indie haul!

I mentioned on Thursday that I went shopping and bought 19 polishes. I went to TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, and Sephora. I went back to Sephora the next day and came home with six new polishes. I also received an order from Pretty & Polished and Smitten polish about a week ago and a KBShimmer order on Friday. I figured it was no better time than to do a haul post!

TJ Maxx:

Barielle 5 pack with Swizzle Stick, Falling Star, Snow Day, Jordana's Skinny Jeans, and Out-Grey-Geous- $7.99. My huge lemming for Falling Star has officially been killed! I was incredibly excited to find it.

OPI 2 Pack with Stranger Tides and Skull and Glossbones- $7.99. Big lemmings killed with this pack!

Marshall's:

Orly Perfect Pair Pack with Go Deeper and Monster Mash- $6.99. There were so many awesome Orly packs to choose from but it was perfect that this one has the two FX glitters that I have been wanting the most.

Sation Nail Lacquer in Lollipop! Goes The Princess, Love Is In The Heir, and Chocolate Chip Resistant- $2.99 each. These are my first polishes from Sation, so I'm excited to try them.

OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener and an OPI bangle bracelet- $6.00. I saw this on my previous trip to Marshall's but I couldn't pass it up this time as it was on clearance and it was the last set. The bracelet it comes with is super cute! 

Burlington Coat Factory:

Color Club Halo Hues in Blue Heaven, Cloud Nine, Angel Kiss, and Cherubic- $3.98 each. I almost didn't go to Burlington but was so happy that I did. I was going to get these no matter the price but was shocked to find out that they were so cheap.

Sephora:

Sephora by OPI Looks Like Rain Dear, Mauve-ie Star In The Making, Traffic Stopper Copper, I'm With Brad, Just A Little Dangerous (totally forgot to get a picture of this one, sorry!), and It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat (x3)- $4.50 each. This brand is being discontinued, so I have been taking full advantage of it. These all come from three different Sephora's, at two different malls. One of the stores was in JCPenney's. Like I mentioned in my previous post, the It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat were also $4.50, originally $30.


Pretty & Polished:

Punk'd Up Betty, Boy Bleu, and Sand Art- $7.00 each, plus shipping. I've been wanting these polishes for the longest time and when I found out that they were going to be discontinued from the brand once sold out, I finally got them for myself. As of right now Sand Art and Boy Bleu are still in stock.

Smitten Polish:

Candy Kisses-9.00, plus shipping. This polish is so cute! I didn't think Noelie was creating this one anymore, so I had to get it when I saw it listed in her shop.


KBShimmer:

Proud Peacock and Sugar Plum Faerie- $8.75 each and The Peach Pit and Field of Greens- $5.00 each, plus shipping. Sugar Plum Faerie and Proud Peacock are core colors, but The Peach Pit and Field of Greens are from the recently released super special edition Misfits collection. They're actually sold out and won't be produced again.

So that's it for now! I don't feel incredibly guilty for these purchases, because most everything I bought was for a deal and in a way, I feel like it justifies my spending. I usually don't post prices in my haul, but I wanted to share my awesome deals with you! I have decided that I'm not going to be putting myself on a no buy, because it clearly does not work.
