Hit Polish Peas In A Pod

Hi! I am back today with a beautiful polish that I wore several weeks ago. It's Hit Polish Peas In A Pod. It's sadly no longer available from the brand but I was lucky enough to find a bottle in a blog sale. Don't you just love when that happens?

Peas In A Pod is a pea green with a gorgeous holographic effect, which is on the medium side. It's not weak but it's not crazy strong either. I actually like it. The formula couldn't have been any better. It was creamy and applied like butter. I don't exactly remember how many coats I wore but I'm guessing two.

I took a ton of photos and while a lot of them turned out nice, I just wasn't satisfied with how the holo looked in them. They weren't coming out right. I edit my pictures on Picmonkey and usually I just crop them and I'm done. This time I used the "auto adjust" option to bring out the holo in my photos, which ended up working. I just might have to try that more often in the future.

Peas In A Pod is a lovely holographic polish that I'm happy I was able to get my hands on. It's just another reason why I'm in love with blog sales. It's a shame that it's no longer available. Fortunately Hit Polish has several other gorgeous polishes worth checking out. Their 30% off sale ends tomorrow!

Hit Polish Pewter Goblet

Hi! How has your week been so far? Last night my LA Kings played against the Chicago Blackhawks. Sadly they lost but there's another game on Friday and hopefully they'll be able to close the series then. I picked up a shift at work today and am going in at three but I won't be home until much later tonight.

Today I have another gorgeous spectraflair from Hit Polish called Pewter Goblet. Before I start I just want to point out that it's no longer available but there's a very similar one available in the shop for a while called Graphite. I was just lucky enough to find mine in a blog sale. Here is Pewter Goblet!

Pewter Goblet is a medium grey spectraflair. I'm a huge fan of grey polishes because I believe just about every glitter looks great with them but give me one with some holo and I'm sold! The holo in this one is beautiful and while it might not look like it in the pictures, the effect is on the strong side. I just never realized how hard it is to photograph holos accurately. Pewter Goblet had the same great formula just the like other two I've tried from the brand and was a dream to work with. It was thick and creamy but in the best way possible and only needed 2 coats. If my nails were longer, I might have needed a third. As usual, I used no top coat with this holo.

I had been wanting Pewter Goblet so badly after seeing a swatch of it posted on Instagram and I'm glad it finally found its way to me. If you like this color, check out Hit Polish Graphite. They are super similar in color.

Hit Polish Breakfast @ Tiffany's

Hi! Last week and weekend went by so fast but it was a great one. I started a new book, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and I finally caught up on all of my episodes of Once Upon A Time. I can't believe the season is over! I'm so sad. I've also been watching my team, the LA Kings in the playoffs. They eliminated the Anaheim Ducks and are now playing in a series against the Chicago Blackhawaks. To top it off, on Sunday I went to the beach in Ventura with my mom, niece, and sister. It was beautiful out, not too hot or cold.

Today I am back with yet another gorgeous spectraflair polish from Hit Polish. I too got this one from a blog sale after the brand closed down. Speaking of, I'm so happy they are back in the business. I bought a handful of gorgeous spectraflairs in their grand re-opening sale. I can't wait to get them. Here is Breakfast @ Tiffany's.

Breakfast @ Tiffany's is a Tiffany blue polish with a really subtle holographic effect. Usually I like when my holos are a bit more obvious but I love this one. I think it's gorgeous regardless. It has a soft, subtle quality to it. It was hard to capture on camera but it's much prettier in person. Formula wise, it was just as easy to use as the last one I posted. Smooth and creamy and opaque in just two coats. No topcoat was used.

I'm happy to have Breakfast @ Tiffany's in my collection. It's pretty and I really like the color. I'm surprised I don't have more like it. Sadly, this color is not available anymore but there is a super close dupe of it available called Aquamarine.

Hit Polish Luscious Lavender

Hi everyone! I apologize for being awfully quiet around here but at the same time, I wasn't feeling up to painting my nails. I've been doing other things like spending time with my family, watching my LA Kings in the playoffs, as well as taking the time to read. I finally got around to reading the book The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, which was such a great but very sad book. Now I'm excited to see the movie.

To make up for being absent, I have a pretty polish to show you. It's Hit Polish Luscious Lavender. Before I get started, let me just say that Hit Polish closed down indefinitely a few months ago but the owner, Rachel has re-opened her shop up today! One of the returning colors is Luscious Lavender, which happens to be a spectraflair. Rachel explained on her Facebook that most of her original recipes were thrown away so she tried to make this polish, along with a few others, as closely as possible. Anyway, here it is!

I'm swooning over how gorgeous Luscious Lavender is! I love purples and this one is perfect. As much as I love strong holos, I also really like subtle ones as well. Luscious Lavender is kind of in the middle. It's much stronger than the photos are showing though. You really have to see it in person. The formula was great. It was thick and creamy, but in a good way, and covered my nails in just two coats. No top coat was used.

So, it's no surprise that I love Luscious Lavender. It's a beautiful polish that has an awesome formula on top of that. I am so excited over the opening of the shop and I especially can't wait to get my hands on some of the spectraflairs.
