Random Skittle Mani!

I've been back from camping for almost three weeks. I had a great time, even though the weather in Carpinteria wasn't the greatest this time around. I took several walks along the beach and got so many pretty shells, including some whole sand dollars. I also spent time drawing, which I hadn't done in a while and my niece and I even watched The Amazing Spider-Man in our tent.

I missed painting my nails a lot and the look I'm sharing with you wasn't really planned. I guess you can call it a happy accident. I was in my room last weekend playing around with some of my untried polishes. I just grabbed what called to me and painted each nail a different color. I planned to remove all of the polishes and go with one choice, but I kind of fell in love with how my left hand turned out and decided to keep it on. Here's the result!

What you see from index to pinky is China Glaze Electrify, OPI Jinx, China Glaze Tail Me Something and Barielle Swizzle Stix. On my thumb, but not pictured, is Sally Hansen Big Money. This is such a random look but I can't help but like it. I will definitely be wearing these colors separately in the future. Oh and in case you're wondering why Tail Me Something looks different in the second picture, it was taken before I added a second coat.

Here's what it looked like before adding top coat.

So am I crazy for liking this? If I am, that's okay!

That's all I have for today but I have a post scheduled for tomorrow and I'm also working on a haul post, my first in 8 months. Thank you for stopping by!

Sally Hansen In Record Lime & Candy Lacquer Rolling In The Clover

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I've had a pretty good day so far. I got an email earlier telling that I won a giveaway for a beautiful polish that I cannot wait to share with you and I get to eat some yummy corned beef and cabbage for dinner! The Irish in me loves it. I am a bit late posting my green mani for today. I had plans to post an entirely different look but due to a troublesome formula, I went in another direction. I'm so glad I did. Here is Sally Hansen In Record Lime with my newest Candy Lacquer Rolling In The Clover!

In Record Lime is easily one of the best greens I have. I really like the color, although it might not be the most exciting green I have but oh my, the formula was such a dream to work with! It was crazy opaque on the first coat but I did use a second to cover up the few bare spots I had. It also dried super fast! I was so impressed. Sadly, I do not believe it's available anymore. Now for the glitter topper! Rolling In The Clover is one of the newest additions by Candy Lacquer and I just had to have it. It's so gorgeous! It's a green and gold glitter in a clear base. It's made up of metallic and holo circles and hexagons, and clovers! It even came with a small bag of extra clovers. All of the glitters came out with ease. I didn't have to fish for any of them. I even managed to get a clover on my index nail. The base itself was a little thick so drying time took a little longer, but since that is expected, I didn't mind.

By the way, I also used my new top coat, Rica Glossy Glam, for the first time. I like it a lot! It made my glitter smooth to the touch in two coats. I totally recommend it if you're looking to get a new top coat.

This is In Record Lime by itself. It has a nice shimmer but it's very subtle. No top coat was used here.

I'm in love with this combo! Both polishes are gorgeous by themselves but they are beautiful together. I especially love Rolling In The Clover. Circle glitter is awesome! It's still available over at Candy Lacquer but it's limited edition, so grab it while you can.

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Blush Diamond

Last year I was lucky to find a set of Sally Hansen Nail Prisms at my local Ross and Blush Diamond was one of them. I decided to use it last night for the first time and upon my first brushstroke, I fell in love. Take a look!

Blush Diamond is a light pink holo that is not shy by any means. The holo is super intense! It's by far the strongest I have in my collection. I had no trouble whatsoever capturing it in photos. I layered it over Color Club Wild At Heart, so it appears darker than it really is. It's not exactly the best base color, being that it's purple, but it was a random pairing that I did late last night out of boredom and I really like how it turned out. I'm actually only sporting Blush Diamond on my left hand, since my right hand is covered in glitters and crackles.

It was runny and thin but it was easy to use and I had no problems with it. This is one coat and no top coat. It was slow to dry though. It was still tacky after about 20 minutes and I ended up getting sheet marks on my middle and ring finger because of it. Also, it kind of had a weird smell. It wasn't super strong or disgusting, but just different from what I'm used to.

I absolutely love Blush Diamond! I'll be honest, I was afraid to use it at first since it's one of my special polishes. It is no longer sold by Sally Hansen but the good news is that you can find it on Ebay, along with the other Nail Prisms, for reasonable prices.

My Late St. Patty's Day Nails!

I've been in Las Vegas for the past three days and just got back this morning. I was totally ready to post this on St. Patrick's Day, but for some reason my laptop wanted to import every photo, not just the new ones. I'm not sure why, I've never had a problem with it before. Anyways, I hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day! I didn't get lucky in Vegas, but I had a great time!

Without further ado, my St. Patty's Day nails! I painted them the day I left. The first two pictures are from the hotel and the last two are at home.

This combination is Sally Hansen Green With Envy and Sinful Colors Call You Later on top. I love it! This is my second time wearing Green With Envy and it's a great cream. The first time I wore it, OPI Glow Up Already was on top. I thought about using that combination again, but I purposely got Call You Later (only $0.99 at Walgreens!) for St. Patty's Day. To be honest, the formula wasn't bad but I had problems with it. Maybe I put it on when the cream wasn't dry enough but it dragged and smeared a little. Luckily, top coat evened things out. By the way, Wet N' Wild Show Me The Money from the new Spoiled line seems to be a dupe.

My nails didn't exactly give me the luck I was hoping for in Vegas, but I was happy with the nice comments I got on them! I hope the rest of you had a lucky day.
