TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, Sephora, and indie haul!

I mentioned on Thursday that I went shopping and bought 19 polishes. I went to TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, and Sephora. I went back to Sephora the next day and came home with six new polishes. I also received an order from Pretty & Polished and Smitten polish about a week ago and a KBShimmer order on Friday. I figured it was no better time than to do a haul post!

TJ Maxx:

Barielle 5 pack with Swizzle Stick, Falling Star, Snow Day, Jordana's Skinny Jeans, and Out-Grey-Geous- $7.99. My huge lemming for Falling Star has officially been killed! I was incredibly excited to find it.

OPI 2 Pack with Stranger Tides and Skull and Glossbones- $7.99. Big lemmings killed with this pack!

Marshall's:

Orly Perfect Pair Pack with Go Deeper and Monster Mash- $6.99. There were so many awesome Orly packs to choose from but it was perfect that this one has the two FX glitters that I have been wanting the most.

Sation Nail Lacquer in Lollipop! Goes The Princess, Love Is In The Heir, and Chocolate Chip Resistant- $2.99 each. These are my first polishes from Sation, so I'm excited to try them.

OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener and an OPI bangle bracelet- $6.00. I saw this on my previous trip to Marshall's but I couldn't pass it up this time as it was on clearance and it was the last set. The bracelet it comes with is super cute!

Burlington Coat Factory:

Color Club Halo Hues in Blue Heaven, Cloud Nine, Angel Kiss, and Cherubic- $3.98 each. I almost didn't go to Burlington but was so happy that I did. I was going to get these no matter the price but was shocked to find out that they were so cheap.

Sephora:

Sephora by OPI Looks Like Rain Dear, Mauve-ie Star In The Making, Traffic Stopper Copper, I'm With Brad, Just A Little Dangerous (totally forgot to get a picture of this one, sorry!), and It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat (x3)- $4.50 each. This brand is being discontinued, so I have been taking full advantage of it. These all come from three different Sephora's, at two different malls. One of the stores was in JCPenney's. Like I mentioned in my previous post, the It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat were also $4.50, originally $30.

Pretty & Polished:

Punk'd Up Betty, Boy Bleu, and Sand Art- $7.00 each, plus shipping. I've been wanting these polishes for the longest time and when I found out that they were going to be discontinued from the brand once sold out, I finally got them for myself. As of right now Sand Art and Boy Bleu are still in stock.

Smitten Polish:

Candy Kisses-9.00, plus shipping. This polish is so cute! I didn't think Noelie was creating this one anymore, so I had to get it when I saw it listed in her shop.

KBShimmer:

Proud Peacock and Sugar Plum Faerie- $8.75 each and The Peach Pit and Field of Greens- $5.00 each, plus shipping. Sugar Plum Faerie and Proud Peacock are core colors, but The Peach Pit and Field of Greens are from the recently released super special edition Misfits collection. They're actually sold out and won't be produced again.

So that's it for now! I don't feel incredibly guilty for these purchases, because most everything I bought was for a deal and in a way, I feel like it justifies my spending. I usually don't post prices in my haul, but I wanted to share my awesome deals with you! I have decided that I'm not going to be putting myself on a no buy, because it clearly does not work.

Color Club Halo Hue Blue Heaven

Today is a special day in my house. It's my niece's 6th birthday! Were all going to the beach to celebrate and on Saturday she's having a pool party. I spent most of yesterday shopping with my mom. We went to TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, and Sephora. Let's just say that I came home with 19 new beauties for my stash and a sad wallet. My most exciting find were the four Color Club Halo Hues, that I found right away upon walking into Burlington Coat Factory. I snatched them up as fast as I could and was even happier when I found out that they were only $3.98 a piece! It was fate that I found them because now I have a holo to wear at the beach. Today I have Blue Heaven, the blue linear holographic of the collection.

Blue Heaven is a true holographic polish. There is nothing shy about it and I love that. I haven't been particularly blown away by most of the holos in my stash, but this one is a different story. It is absolutely stunning! Even though I got it on sale, I would not have hesitated paying full price. It's totally worth it in my opinion. The formula was also outstanding. It was thin but easy to apply. It was opaque at two coats, but I used a third out of habit.

I can't believe I waited this long to get a Color Club Halo Hue, but at the same time, the wait was worth it! It's always a nice feeling when you get something you've wanted for a long time, for a steal. If you live near by a Burlington Coat Factory, go in and take a look! You might be surprised by what you find.

Color Club Wild At Heart

I have officially reached 100 posts! Today I have one of my favorite polishes that happens to be an awesome holo, Club Wild At Heart. It's the namesake from the 2009 collection and was my first polish from the brand. I've worn it before, but this is the first time I'm sharing it on my blog. It has been rather gloomy here in California for the past few days but the sun finally showed up yesterday and I was able to get some nice pictures.

Purple is one of my favorite colors and this one is amazing! I absolutely love it. It's so deep and rich. Of course the holo effect is absolutely gorgeous too. It is scattered but more than noticeable. It's strong in the bottle alone. It seriously has one of the best formulas I've ever worked with. It went on like butter, so creamy and easy to apply. What you see is just one coat! The drying time was decent as well. It's pure perfection and I couldn't be happier.

 Without topcoat:

The first time I wore Wild At Heart, I couldn't keep my eyes off it and it's definitely the same story this time! I'm happy to have this beauty in my stash. It's a definite must have from Color Club in my opinion.

Color Club Foil Me Once

I decided to paint my nails late last night and I wanted to use something easy to work with and that would dry fast. It's the reason behind my decision to go with Color Club Foil Me Once, from last years Foiled collection.

Foil Me Once is a light pink foil. There's not much else to say about it, so I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Like most foils, it was easy to work with and it didn't give me any problems at all. It only took two coats to be opaque, but it was almost good at one. The drying time was just as great.

Taken yesterday in poor sunlight and without topcoat:

Pinks aren't my favorite so I'm not totally crazy about it, but it's still pretty. If you love pink polish and love foil finishes, Foil Me Once is perfect for you.

Color Club Wild Orchid

To be honest, I have only own two gray polishes. They're Zoya Harley and now Color Club Wild Orchid, which I only just got the other day from Rach who owns the blog stuff i (s)watched. I couldn't wait to wear this beauty, so I got right to it!

This is one gorgeous gray! It leans a bit purple and it also has beautiful shimmer that I love. It's darker and more shimmery than Zoya Harley, so it's completely unique to my stash.

Formula wise, it's good. It was a little runny, but it had good coverage. Two coats were perfect for me. The drying time was average, so I can't complain. As usual, I used one coat of top coat.

Overall this is a beautiful gray that I'm happy to have in my stash!

My first nail mail!

About two weeks ago I commented on a post by Rach over at stuff i (s)watched on her swatch of Color Club Wild Orchid. I simply said how it was gorgeous and I needed to add it to my wishlist. Later, I saw that Rach had sent me an email wondering if I wanted her bottle as a gift. I was really surprised by the sweet gesture and I said yes! I was even more surprised when I got the package to not only find the beautiful polish, but other amazing goodies Rach sent me! I was too excited that I couldn't not share with you, so here they are!

Color Club Wild Orchid, ULTA Orange You Glad It's summer?, Revlon Just Tinted Shiny Top Coat

I was only expecting Wild Orchid, so I'm super grateful for the others! I have literally no orange polishes in my stash, no ULTA close to me, or any ULTA polishes, so I'm very pleased with the orange polish. As for the top coat, I go through more than I realize and could always use more, so I'm happy to have another bottle.

Rach was nice enough to add in a sample pack of Sephora by OPI Restorative hand moisturizer. I will admit, I hardly ever use lotion on my hands. I know I should, so maybe I'll end up buying it if I like it. I also got a Zoya Smoke & Mirrors nail plate. I never got around to getting any polishes from this collection, but I really want to. This gives me a better idea at what looks good on me.

Now for the cute stuff! I got a really cute card with a sweet message inside from Rach. I also got some super adorable owl stickers! I have a feeling my niece will be begging me for these.

So there you have it, my first nail mail! I was very excited and surprised to have received all of this awesome stuff. The whole package was very well put together and extremely thoughtful. Thank you Rach for everything!

If you haven't already checked out Rach's blog, please do so! Here's the link:http://stuffiswatched.blogspot.com/

Have a great day!

Color Club Jingle Jangle

I felt like sprucing up my current mani, Revlon Cotton Candy and what better way than with glitter? It gave me the chance to pull out my unused bottle of Color Club Jingle Jangle, a blue and purple glitter from the Beyond the Mistletoe collection.

It consists of light blue and light purple glitter in a clear base. It doesn't seem to have holographic glitter. I almost used Candy Cane, the pink in the collection, but I wanted colors that would pop. The blue and purple makes me think of cotton candy, so I thought it would look great over the pink base. I'm glad I went with my instinct because they really are pretty together!

It was thick but application was easy. I only used one coat, so I'm not sure about it's opacity if worn alone but I'm guessing three or four coats would be good. As usual with glitters, it dried fast. I used one coat of top coat to smooth it out.

I'm so happy with this combination! It's fun, yet soft and whimsical. I really love Jingle Jangle and I'm glad I finally used it. It's such pretty glitter.

Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe

It's the weekend and I'm excited! I'm going to Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game tonight with my family and tomorrow I'm going to see Snow White and the Huntsman with a friend. Before I do any of that, I have a pretty polish to show you! It's Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe, the namesake from the collection. It may have been released for Christmas, but it's beautiful for any occasion.

It's the definition of a glitter bomb! It's loaded with holographic glitter. It's the blue version of Sugar Plum Fairy, from the same collection. The holo effect is very evident. I could stare at my nails all day while wearing it. It's perfect for bright, summery days! It reminds me of sparkling ocean or pool water.

I tried my hardest to capture the holo. I should have taken more in artificial lighting to help. I don't think I did it any justice. It's just one of those polishes that looks way better in person.

The formula on this was really great. I had no issues with application. It wasn't too thick or too thin, just about the perfect balance. I ended up using four coats and I know that sounds like a lot but my first two coats were really thin, so it's more my fault than the polish. The drying time was super fast as well.

Beyond the Mistletoe is pure love! It's an amazing polish from an amazing collection, which just might be my favorite from Color Club. On a side note, is anyone else having issues with Blogger? My chosen font won't load, neither will other fonts when I try to customize my template, and there's that whole issue of getting malware warnings when going to a few blogs on my blog roll. Kind of frustrating! Anyways, hope you all have a great weekend!

Color Club Fashion Addict

If you're familiar with Color Club, you might know about their awesome, but affordable holographic polishes. There's Worth The Risque, Love Em Leave Em, Wild At Heart and Revvvolution, which I've both worn before, and the one I'm showing you today, Fashion Addict. Wild At Heart is one of my favorites but now I can easily say the same for Fashion Addict.

It's a light lilac purple with an amazing holographic effect. It doesn't require any squinting to see it, it's just obvious and so freaking pretty! Take a look at the pictures to see what I mean!

P.S. I slightly and barely edited some of my pics to get the holo to stand out like it does in person. It's so much better when you see it for yourself, TRUST ME!

The formula on this is really good! I had the same success with Wild At Heart and Revvvolution and I'm so glad this one doesn't disappoint. It goes on really easy and creamy. There were a few bald spots after the first coat, but a second took care of everything. The drying time wasn't super fast, but not average either. I'm really impressed.

If you want a holographic polish that is beautiful and delivers but you don't want to shell out a lot of money, you should take a look at Fashion Addict and the other ones from Color Club. I got mine from 8tyBeauty.com for only $3 dollars each. Such a steal!

Good luck to my boys on the L.A. Kings tonight! Can't wait to watch the game!

Valentine's Day Nails!

Sorry about the late post, but I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day! I'm single, so I stayed home and watched the movies, Drive Me Crazy, Ever After, and Tristan + Isolde. I even got a movie, a nail polish, and cuticle cream from my parents. I tried to make cookies, but my cookie cookbook sucks! I've used it before and each time I follow the recipes to a tee but I always get dry/crumbly dough. It's never happened to me with other books. My mom, who is a great cook, has had the same problem. It worked after adding shortening (not listed in the recipe) and I finally got my heart sugar cookies yesterday! They're so yummy. But let's get to my Valentine's Day nails!

I almost wore red since I never do. I don't know, I'm just not a big fan of it on me. Instead, I went with Color Club Hot Like Lava, a bright and vivid hot pink foil. I love it! I don't wear pinks often, but this one is super pretty. I only needed two coats. I then layered one coat of OPI I Lily Love You, which is a sheer pink jelly base with flakes and glitter. I love the end result! It's very girly.

Pictures! This looks better in person, I think. Can I just say that I'm in love with the Burt's Bees Cuticle cream I got!? My cuticles look so much better. I want to try Lush Lemony Flutter, but this is great for the time being and cheap.

And here's one in the shade to show the flakes better.

Like I said, I don't wear pink polish often. I like the color but I only have a couple in my stash. I think it's because I got bored of seeing a million of them. But I love this mani! Maybe I'll try more pinks in the future.

Color Club Holiday Splendor

I haven't been able to post manicures because my laptop crashed a week ago due to my hard drive. I had a similar problem months ago but the fix was temporary. This time my dad had my laptop at his work trying to fix it with his friend and he realized the hard drive was useless, so my dad did the nicest thing and ordered a new one (hard drive) and extra memory! I'm super happy that my laptop is fixed! I couldn't upload pictures on the family computer because I don't have the cord for my camera but now that my laptop is working, I can use my memory cards. To celebrate my first day back, I have Color Club Holiday Splendor. Even though the holiday's are long over, I feel like this is a color that can be worn anytime!

I cannot express how much I love it! I keep staring at my nails. It's a vivid and gorgeous shade of green, kind of like aqua. It kind of reminds me of Ariel's mermaid tail. It has holographic rainbow glitter, but blue and green pop out the most. The colored base makes it the easiest from the Beyond the Mistletoe collection to wear alone. The polish is thick but not a pain. I made sure I had enough on my brush so that it was easy to spread and it was fine. I used two coats, both which dried fast, and two coats of Color Club Vivid top coat. It's similar to China Glaze Atlantis but it's not a dupe.

Pictures! This kept wanting to lean toward blue in pictures, but it's a tad more green in real life. I included an indoor picture to highlight the glitter.

If you have this color in your stash and haven't worn it yet, I recommend that you do! It's a gorgeous color and has become one of my favorite Color Club polishes. You simply can't go wrong with holographic glitter!

Hockey Nails!

Before I get into the nails, here's my experience! Monday night, I went to my first hockey game for the Los Angeles Kings with my dad and it was so much fun! My dad's always loved them, but I only started really getting into hockey and seriously watching games two years ago. I've grown to love the Kings, so it was cool to be able to go to a game to experience that! It's so different from watching it on television. I've only been to Dodger baseball games most of my life, but I think I like hockey more. It's just way more intense and has way more action with players falling, players knocking into each other, and fights, which there were three of last night, and of course the moment when your team scores a goal! You also have to pay attention because if you look away, you'll miss something since it's busy on the ice. Overall, it was a great game! They won 5-2, which was awesome! I have a few favorite players on the team and if you're familiar with them you might know who Dustin Brown is. He's not only the captain, but my number one favorite, so I was pretty excited that I got to take home a blanket with his face on it haha! Now onto the nails!

I don't own anything Kings related, so I just wore black but I also represented them with my nails since it's an easy form of expression. I'm not experienced at nail art, so my nails aren't necessarily hockey related with pucks, sticks, or logos. Instead the Kings jersey colors were my inspiration. Sometimes the colors they wear depend on the game, but on Monday they wore my personal favorite, their jerseys with predominantly black, white, and silver. I love how sleek they look!

I used Color Club Revvvolution as my base. It was my first time wearing it and I love it! It's very opaque! I could have gotten away with one coat, but I needed another for some bald spots. The rainbow effect isn't super strong, but still pretty! I painted tips with China Glaze Cheers To You, with the help of my manicure strips. I've worn it before and there's no complaints. It goes on opaque and dries fast. I wanted to use white polish to write the numbers of my favorite players which are in white on the jerseys, but I lacked the tools. I still like the way they turned out! I was in a rush toward the end, but I hope that's not too obvious.

Pictures! The first one is in the shade, the rest are in the sun. Oh, and try to ignore that random silver mark!

My nails don't scream hockey, but I felt like I paid tribute to the Kings in my own special way! Now that I've gone to my first Kings game, I hope to be able to go to plenty more and maybe I'll come up with new manicure ideas! Thanks for checking this out!
