Las Vegas Haul!

First off, happy birthday to my mom! Here is the second haul I had originally wanted to post a few weeks back after my Las Vegas vacation. I already knew that when I went to Vegas, I wanted to hit up the ABC Store and the beauty supply store. I was prepared to bring home some polish, but the rest I got mainly on a whim. Anyway, I came home with 23 new beauties and here they are!

 ABC Store:

Island Girl polishes: Diamond Head Breeze, Honolulu Orchid, and Island Color.

Beauty supply store:

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, China Glaze Sea Spray, Dare To Wear Ready For My Close-Up , Morgan Taylor Let Them Eat Cake, Morgan Taylor Make A Statement, and Morgan Taylor Under The Stars.

Nabi Multi Jumbo Glitter, Sation Most Hue-nique, OPI Liquid Sand Get Your Number, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and OPI Pirouette My Whistle.

Marshall's:

Sation Just Lilac That, Sation Plenty of Frogs, and SpaRitual Deep Shimmer.

ULTA:

China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, China Glaze Orange You Hot?, Essence Chic Reloaded, Essence Hello Marshmallow, Essence Oh My Glitter, and ULTA Blues Cruise.

As you can see, I have a lot of new polishes that I need to start wearing ASAP. I'm probably most excited to try out the Essence's, since they are my first and hopefully not my last. Thanks for taking a look!

Icing Tiger's Blood

I'm in a glitter mood, so today I have Icing Tiger's Blood, a coral jelly base packed with gold and coral glitter. It's inspired by actor Charlie Sheen's infamous melt down from last year. It happens to be a dead on dupe of Cult Nails Captivated.

I didn't feel like wearing it on its own, so I layered it over ULTA Orange You Glad It's Summer. It's such a pretty glitter! I love staring at it in the bottle and it's just as great on. I really love it over the orange creme. My pictures aren't a 100% color accurate but close. It's more vibrant and more coral in person.

It was thick, but I had no problems with application. It was surprisingly easy to work with. Due to the thick jelly base, it took a while to fully dry. I used two coats of it and two coats of top coat. Unfortunately my brush is broken off from the cap, but Icing polishes are final sale so I'm stuck with it. Thankfully it didn't cause problems, but I'll fix it with some super glue.

This is a bit blurry, but I like it.

In the shade:

I really love Tiger's Blood! It's such a great polish and at $4.50, you can't beat the price. As far as I know, it can still be found at Icing, so if you weren't able to get your hands on Captivated, it's a great option.

ULTA Orange You Glad It's Summer?

Today I have another polish that was sent to me by the awesome Rach from stuff i (s)watched. It's ULTA Orange You Glad It's Summer?, an orange creme. Prior to getting it, I had no orange polishes or any ULTA's either, so it was the perfect addition to my stash.

I've always thought I wouldn't like orange on me, but I was wrong! I really like this! It's super pretty and flattering. I would say that it has a touch of coral. It seems to dry a tad darker than the bottle color and it's also darker in person.

The formula wasn't the best, but not the worst either. It was streaky and a little sheer, but it was better by the third coat. There are still some bald spots, but hardly. It didn't take as long to dry as I thought it would. I also used Revlon Just Tinted Shiny Top Coat, also given to me by Rach, and I like it!

I love this orange! I'm really glad to have it. It reminds me that I should step out of my comfort zone and try out some more orange polishes in the future.

My first nail mail!

About two weeks ago I commented on a post by Rach over at stuff i (s)watched on her swatch of Color Club Wild Orchid. I simply said how it was gorgeous and I needed to add it to my wishlist. Later, I saw that Rach had sent me an email wondering if I wanted her bottle as a gift. I was really surprised by the sweet gesture and I said yes! I was even more surprised when I got the package to not only find the beautiful polish, but other amazing goodies Rach sent me! I was too excited that I couldn't not share with you, so here they are!

Color Club Wild Orchid, ULTA Orange You Glad It's summer?, Revlon Just Tinted Shiny Top Coat

I was only expecting Wild Orchid, so I'm super grateful for the others! I have literally no orange polishes in my stash, no ULTA close to me, or any ULTA polishes, so I'm very pleased with the orange polish. As for the top coat, I go through more than I realize and could always use more, so I'm happy to have another bottle.

Rach was nice enough to add in a sample pack of Sephora by OPI Restorative hand moisturizer. I will admit, I hardly ever use lotion on my hands. I know I should, so maybe I'll end up buying it if I like it. I also got a Zoya Smoke & Mirrors nail plate. I never got around to getting any polishes from this collection, but I really want to. This gives me a better idea at what looks good on me.

Now for the cute stuff! I got a really cute card with a sweet message inside from Rach. I also got some super adorable owl stickers! I have a feeling my niece will be begging me for these.

So there you have it, my first nail mail! I was very excited and surprised to have received all of this awesome stuff. The whole package was very well put together and extremely thoughtful. Thank you Rach for everything!

If you haven't already checked out Rach's blog, please do so! Here's the link:http://stuffiswatched.blogspot.com/

Have a great day!
