Darling Diva Ringer

Today I have a stunning polish that I've had for a while but only just used for the first time the other day. It's Darling Diva Ringer, a red to green shifting shimmer in a purple jelly base. It was created as a dupe for the very hard to find Clarins 230. It's described as "unicorn pee" since it's so magical looking. I couldn't agree more. Here it is!

I layered one coat of Ringer over two coats of Sinful Colors Endless Blue which is a gorgeous cobalt blue creme. The combination is truly amazing! Ringer is stunning and breathtaking in every light. I can't stop staring. Formula wise I had no problems whatsoever.

I had such a hard time photographing just how gorgeous this combo is in person. None of the green shimmer wanted to show up. All of my pictures were taken on my iPod Touch 5 since my usual camera freaked out and could not get a decent photo of Ringer. These pictures don't do it any justice. Ringer is definitely one of those polishes you have to see for yourself to understand its beauty.

Ringer is a must have, especially for those of you that are looking for a polish similar to Clarins 230. For me it definitely fills that lemming. Ringer is in the Last Call section on Darling Diva's website so I wouldn't hesitate if you have it on your wish list. Run, don't walk, and grab yourself a bottle!

Darling Diva Bitches Have Birthdays

Yup, it's my birthday today! I'm now 23 years old. Even though it's just another number these days, it's still nice to have a day to celebrate me. All I really asked for my birthday this year were tickets to an LA Kings hockey game, the second season set of Once Upon A Time, and maybe an Etsy gift card. I'd be happy to get just one of those things. I am excited though for tonight, since I'm going to dinner with the family. Of course I had to paint my nails and what better polish to use than Darling Diva Bitches Have Birthdays? Not only is the name hilarious, but the polish itself is cute, girly, and definitely birthday appropriate. I've been waiting for this day to wear it.

Bitches Have Birthdays is a pink crelly base loaded with all kinds of glitter. There's blue and green hexagons, tiny yellow gold and fuchsia glitter, as well as red hearts and holo butterflies. I absolutely adore the mix, it's so cute! The hearts and the butterflies are my favorite and they weren't too hard to get out, which can be said for all of the glitters in the polish. That being said, I didn't have trouble with application. It was sheer on the first coat but it built up easily by the third. I used a coat of Gelous and one coat of my Orly top coat to smooth it out. My pictures were taken in the shade because in the sun, they weren't coming out so great. My camera had trouble capturing the shade of pink. Even in the shade, they're not totally accurate.

I'm glad I waited to wear Bitches Have Birthdays today! This was my first experience wearing a Darling Diva and I couldn't be more happy with it. I got my bottle many months ago, and as of right now, it's not in stock at the shop, so I'm not sure when or if it's going to be restocked.

So that's all of my nail mail I have for now! I cannot wait to start wearing them. I recently ordered five more polishes from Smitten and they're on the way to me as we speak. After those come, I'm not going to even try putting myself on a "no buy" but I am going to be a bit more cautious about my purchases. Wish me luck! I am officially indie obsessed.
